When I was younger, I really enjoyed GTA2. Then they jumped to 3D and my enjoyment of the series plummeted into the ground.

I read this the other day, and really enjoyed it. I wish that I had something to add, but I currently do not.
Sony may be as morally bankrupt as Microsoft, but they do have one bright spot. They have a bunch of exclusives, specifically the type that I want to play. I really want Arkham Origins and am really tempted to pick it up for the Wii U, eventhough according to bitchy fans it is an incomplete game because it lacks multiplayer.
This game sounds amazing. The fact that it only requires a small investment of time makes it all the more appealing.
After reading your review, your experience the first time around is so familiar. The only real difference at this point is that I have yet to sink my teeth into Dark Souls. I put about an hour into it a couple of months ago, but have been distracted by other games. There is one thing that I can say about Dark Souls. With the short amount of time that I played it, everyhting seemed to click and felt just right. Maybe all of this talk about Dark Souls II will finally get me inspired to sink my teeth into Dark Souls...
In so many ways reviews are meaningless. COD and GTA will sell ridiculous numbers regardless of the reviews. They could have released GTA Online as a standalone release and it probably would have sold similar numbers to GTAV.
The only reason that I think I want reviews is to tell me if a game is broken. I had already made up my mind to pick up Bioshock Infinite before I read a single review. No review of GTAV would have been able to sway me to pick up a copy. Gotham City Imposters had middling reviews, but I enjoyed every minute that I played of the game. Call of Duty 4 got great reviews, but I hated it.
I thought that I was done getting games for a while, and then I was inspired to play El Shaddai and so I had to pick that up. Then I swore off buying games until I realized that I really want the Arkham Origins games.
Super Mario 3D World and A Link Between Worlds I can totally agree with. I cannot wait for either of them and really hope that I get a Wii U for Christmas.
My enthusiasm for South Park has tempered because of all of the delays, but I am sure that I will play it once it finally comes out. Otherwise the only other game(s) on my radar right now are Arkham Origins. I actually want both versions, the Vita/3DS and the PS3/360.
I started El Shaddai on Normal, but quickly restarted on Easy. I am having about as much fun as I did with Mirror's Edge.
I will definitely pick up Of Myths and Monsters when I finish the first Kid Icarus.
There was something Jeremy said when the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter came around. It was in regards to objectivity and his response to a comment was that he prefers to tell stories. I think that is why I like his writing, because I want to read stories.
Yeah, Snee seems to have great taste in books...
I have heard nothing but good things about Foundation. I have not touched any other Asimov, but I wanted at least a taste of him, so I chose Foundation.
