I started The Cave today and really liked it. Enchanted Arms may take a back seat for a while.

Those "innovations" are purely to suck in the casual gamer or mainstream consumer. They got us hard core gamers already, now they're going for a bigger audience and that means gimmicks. So what I'm saying is that I agree with you. I just wanted to add to the suckage.
I'm guessing Dragon's Crown is being released on disc from what I can tell. If that's true I'm preordering it immediately.
I agree. The system does not seem old to me and the games still look fantastic.
As usual with me and systems, it's some killer game that gets me to buy them. We'll see what's announced at E3 this year for Xbox/PS/WiiU.
I used to listen to Screwattack's podcast. It was fun.
Yea, cheap is good. I'm only 15 hours in, so maybe further in it gets hard and you have to back track for leveling. I hope not but I'll find out as I put in some serious hours this weekend.
I might be doing the same with this comming generation. I'm not too excited at having to buy new hardware. I'm pretty happy with all the current gen consoles and want to really pick up a lot of stuff I've missed on the cheap. I did spring for a 3DS this year however. I couldn't miss Fire Emblem, Etrian Odyessy IV AND Luigi's Mansion.
I watched the trailer again and I agree it looks like a PS2 game. There's really only a handfull of games from '05-'06 that really have the graphics that belong in this generation like Oblivion and COD 2. I still remember seeing the demo of COD 2 running at BestBuy and being really impressed by the graphics. Then when Oblivion came out, that's when I pulled the trigger and got a 360.
