I bought my PS3 used. It's a 60-gigger first-generation PS3. It lasted for two years before the YLOD took it down. Sent it to Sony and they sent me back a refurbished unit of the exact same model, looks like new! I wasn't thrilled by the YLOD but I was thrilled with my replacement PS3. You better believe I take care of that backwards-compatible baby.
Microsoft will never change its policy on Xbox One. No policy change will come until the Xbox Two, if that ever comes out. Their corporate culture is always convinced of its "rightness", based on their monopoly of the PC OS market, and they'll blindly rush headlong into disaster.
Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 are all I needed to hear. And it's good to see the Sony I remembered from E3 1995 and E3 1999, the one that was willing to do what it took to meet and beat the competition, back inform.
It's also kind of entertaining watching Microsoft splutter and fumble. They f***ed up and they know it.
The best print ads I ever saw were:
A Sega ad for the the Saturn which had a luscious naked woman on them with the game screenshots pasted over her naughty areas. Ostensibly, the game system was so awesome that you didn't even notice her.
A Final Fantasy VII ad with the Junon canon that read "Someone get the guys who make cartridge games a cigarette and a blindfold." The small print on the ad read, "If this game were on a cartridge, it would cost $3,000."

I'll do you one better, Microsoft. I'll skip the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 and stick with the PS4, the PS3, and the Wii U.
SMH. Microsoft's Games Division needs a month in a psychiatric hospital under 24-hour observation, because they are seriously suicidal.
I understand, Microsoft's Xbox One policies are blatantly consumer-hostile and actually look like something an EA executive might have dreamed up. I don't need corporate supervision while I play my games. I am not a criminal.
Besides, Halo fans can play Bungie's Destiny on PS4.
Sony's conference was brilliant. True, it started with all the TV/movie/music BS that we all just l-o-o-o-ved with Microsoft's disastrous Xbone reveal last month, and I could hear a collective groan in the gaming industry. Then it got better. For me, Final Fantasy XV and KH3 were the highlights of the games themselves - yes, I know both of those games are also coming to Xbone, but I'm getting them on PS4. Then Sony coming out in favor of consumer rights in sharp contrast, and as a direct counterpoint, to Microsoft's anti-consumer polcies was awesome. Sony really listened to its customers this time. The fact that the PS4 will be $100 cheaper was the icing on the cake. The crowning moment of Sony's E3 performance was their "Official PS4 Game-Sharing Video" with Shuhei Yoshida and Jack Tretton, which was a direct slap in the face against Microsoft.
I don't know if I'd go that far myself, but I'm definitely avoiding MS this generation. My brief flirtation with the 360 turns out to have been an aberration; I've been buying all my games in the past few years on PS3 rather than 360, along with Wii games, because Sony already caters to me better. With Microsoft's horrible policies, there's no reason for me to support them anymore.
Sony's video of how to share PS4 games went viral. Just as priceless are all the Wikipedia edits. In one, under "list of burn centers in the US", Sony was listed as a burn center for MS employees. Under the entry for Jack Tretton, it briefly said that Tretton was arrested for murder on June 10, 2013 for the brutal slaying of Microsoft's Xbox One!
