I just wish these types of cross-over games had good stories. The problem is that creating a decent plot with a ridiculous number of characters can be very difficult. (Though I have seen comic books pull it off once in awhile)

Can't say much about The Last Of Us other than it looks brilliant! Prospero's children also seems neat. Aka, a dark twist to mythology. I would feel bad for the mermaid BUT she did drown the sailor's son. I assume the sailor is torturing her and that makes me feel a bit icky even if the sea wench deserves it. My question is, why was the son drowned in the first place? Was it a playful accident or are mermaids in this setting simply heartless evil bitches?
And here I was thinking of "advancing" to a portable lap top with a touch screen. lol. You telling me tablets are the next big thing? Guess I'm not as "savy" as I thought.
I dunno, I always liked how fighters over sexualized female characters and made male characters look edgy & cool. But maybe I'm just a "caveman fearing progressive thinking". Or rather, I don't mind 1 or 2 delightfully slutty female characters "if" the rest of them show more variety. For example, Mai is the lovable bouncy sexy ditz in King Of Fighters but if every female character was just like Mai it would be kind of awkward. It's good tom-boy mercenary Leona, candy obsessed ice queen Kula Diamond, pop star Athena, and the sharply dressed King balance out the female cast.
Overall the gameplay is more important than the visual style because let's face it, without buttery smooth controls and complex yet easy to jump into mechanics most new fighters tank.
Beyond that, fighters are trying what I want them to. Aka, environments constantly get more interactive and most fighters reserve a beefy story mode for character friendships, romances, & rivalries. (Even if it comes off as cheesy sometimes but that's partly why fighters appeal to me too. Aka, they're so over the top!)
I haven't really gotten into a Rockstar game since Bully & San Andreas. I'm probably still more excited to try RDR simply because "the wild west" is a potentially more interesting setting for me than modern day.
I agree, GTA 5's trailer is a bit much. I also am worried that the 3 protagonists/anti-heroes we get in this one will not be as endearing & memorable as the single protagonist/anti-hero in other games.
Also, why can't RS have a female lead? Is that too much to ask? I get tired of all these "dudes". Why the constant sausage party? (This coming from a guy. lol.)
My Steam account is pretty neglected right now. Still have to beat Cavestory,Oath Of Felghana, and Torchlight II.
I always preffered March Of THe Black Queen on the snes and I can't even really tell you why. lol. I have this for the psp and it's just really REALLY hard. (Even moreso than its' predecessor) Er, "Let Us Cling Together" is a remake of the playsation version, right? Hopefully I'm not being an idiot!
Doing horror reviews? Cool, mang! Netflix has a lot of cheesy horror flicks. Bet you can pull out some B-movie gems from there. I like the really outrageous foreign ones like Tokyo Gore Police.
Loved the detail with the Raiden illustration, welcome to Pixlbit,Jae! Black-Oni,hmmm. That id seems very familiar. (Maybe I'm just mixing it up with Onimusha stuff. lol.)
If you like the D&D arcade games I think you will be a shoe in for Dragon's Dogma,Sonic. There's a lot in DD: Dark Arisen that reminds me of my nostalgic fantasy adventures between me and my buddies around the table.
My only caveat is sometimes the quest markers suck. Nothing a faq or walkthrough cannot cure though!
