Considering that Kyuss is regarded as a legendary band not only for Doom Metal but Metal itself and that the guitarist Josh Homme would become one of the leading figures of modern Rock (he created QOTSA after all), I can see why Metallica liked them a lot and put them in the game. Man, I wish I can play Guitar Hero Metallica.

I too love QOTSA. I sometimes can't decide if them or Red Hot Chili Peppers are my favorite band.

Haven't really listened to stuff from either band, but I will say that I do love Post-Rock in general. It's so relaxing and ethereal and it's great to listen in calmed moments.
