This is fantastic news. I guess it's true that money talks. Perhaps all the PS4 pre-orders made Microsoft think. It makes sense,though. All they had to do was change course. It's not like anything has even been put into play yet. They may salvage a possibly disastrous console launch with this decision.
I came very close to plunking down 100 bucks to secure a PS4 pre-order at Gamestop. Changed my mind and I'm glad. There is plenty of time. They suckered me in last time and I should know better. It will be a truly sad day for me when all games go digitial. That's why I love this new retro console I bought. The physical nature of everything about it. No one can take it from me with a wee bit of computer hacking.
My backlog has been improving as I finished Far Cry Instincts:Predator and Max Payne 3 recently. I just started on Mirror's Edge the other day. Even Though The Last Of Us has me hooked currently. The hate is puzzling to me. All these companies have produced products that made my life better. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Let the chips fall where they may I say.
I've had no luck with original systems. They never seem to work very well. So this was the perfect solution for me. I watched many reviews of it beforehand,and they were all pretty good. Eagles have been on my mind today because I watched that new documentary"The History Of The Eagles" last night. They talk with Jackson Browne in it,as well as Linda Ronstadt,Kenny Rogers,and all sorts of folks who helped them out. I had forgotten just how good they are at harmonizing and writing great songs.
Now I just need to find Jungle Strike and Urban Strike. Saw them both at a store last week in original cases. Hope they still have them.
I found a NES game today at lunch. Found Skate Or Die for 3 bucks. I always liked that one too. I'm going to be very picky about what I buy. That way I won't take up shelf space with crappy games I don't play.
I got to see Agent Orange live once. Very good show and memorable. Good stuff all over today. I love everything Jello Biafra does,he's funny,smart,and outspoken. All great qualities in a human being.
Steam is great and I'm glad I finally got into it. Takes some getting used to controlling games with a keyboard. But they do play smoothly and look fantastic.
Thanks for the heads up on this. What other product on earth can be wrecked by an update? I sure as hell can't think of one. Good thing they pulled it off. That could have led to a class action lawsuit.
