23 Games from Steam Winter Sale 2013

Posted on 01/03/2014 at 12:28 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I have a physical copy Arkham Asylum sitting aloned in a shelve, still with the plastic. Now that I have a better computer, I should try installing the game there.

I have Fez, but I haven't installed it yet. I will do it once I have an urge to play the game.

Really nice you got Limbo, Super Meat Boy and Psychonauts. The latter I think will be among my favorite games once I advance more into it.

If you had seen my recent Steam activity, I bought 6 games on the sale (Borderlands, Dishonored, Final Fantasy VII, Bunny Must Die, Skullgirls and Dear Esther). Can't wait to play those.

New Year: Time to reflect on being here for almost a year.

I gotta thank the site and Michael117. The site for welcoming us after the fall of 1up and also Michael for showing us Pixlbit in the first place. Without you guys, it would be hard for us to get another gaming home.

My History With Christianity (No ranting or insults this time)

Man, sorry you had to go through that Blake.

Though I was raised in Catholisism (it's the number one religion in Colombia after all), I luckily had liberal parents that didn't restrict me that much and though they (or I think just my mom) do believe in God, they aren't that fanatic. As for myself, as much as I went to church and actually did the First Communion, i'm not a devoted catholic and even then, right now I don't consider myself a practicioner, and I try to stay away from religion and any question regarding any God. In fact, I don't belong to any religion now that I think about it.

Though I do also question the decisions and actions some religions and its followers do and I also question faith. I really dislike when people take religions to extremist extremes and I feel like the teachings of the past were badly interpreted or changes to suit a persons point of view, which is why religion today is fucked-up in some aspects.

Oh, now that you mention that your brother is an Asperger, I also should say that i'm one myself, though that is something for another topic.

The Wolf of Wall Street and 13 Films From 2013

I personally really liked both Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel.

Though Iron Man 3 didn't expand much of the plot and I wish it also showed more of other characters, I thought what it had was great plot-wise and I really liked the character development Tony went through, the action scenes were great, the humor really worked, and honestly, let's just say it actually clicked on me the movie and I thought it's the better one of the trilogy.

Man of Steel, I admit it had some flaws. It took a while to get settled into the movie, the shaky camera was bothersome at times, the blatant product placements, maybe some scenes weren't well developed and some awkward implications (for example, the ship with the Kryptonian embryos getting blow up). Both other than that, it had great action scenes, score, special effects, acting, and overall the story, characters and ideas were great and I really felt like Henry Cavill was Superman. Just my 2 cents.

I do agree with you about Now you See Me. Stupid, contrived but also fun.

I think you pretty much know I loved Catching Fire and I consider it my second favorite film of the year only behind Gravity. Oh, and you should watch Gravity now that I mentioned the movie.

Sadly, either of lazyness or time, I couldn't watch a lot of movies in 2013. Still need to see Into Darkness, Pacific Rim, Wolverine, The World's End and Desolation of Smaug.

I'm excited for the new Smash Bros as well, specially with the announcement of Rosalina.

My favorite BlazBlue character is Taokaka.

Yeah, Steam is quite awesome. I just recently bought 6 games on the sale.

I haven't checked the forums, but I could do that. I really want to know what is happening with Super Meat Boy.
