also, is it just me, or do companies have trouble with their third consoles... ps3 had problems, saturn had problems, n64 didn't have FF VII.

If i had to buy a console based off of the reveals, I would definitely get a ps4. Sony gives off the impression that they are making a gaming console, with other features. Microsoft seems to be building an entertainment centre that just so happens to play games.
I wonder if they decided to leave most of the destails hazy, so that they can easily sell the console to uneducated masses.
I will be getting a wii u at some point, but I am still uncertain as to the other consoles. The only problem is that I really want to play CD Projekt Red's games, but am not sure if I want to deal with building and maintaining my own PC.
I am a fan of my 360, but seriously. I cannot believe that they expect me to spend money on this "One." I do not have cable for a reason. I have a profound disinterest in Call of Duty, and sports games. I cannot see the 15 xbox exclusives being all that great.
And here I was thinking that gaming died when sega stopped making consoles.
I have always been a fan of the dualshock 2, but since I have spent a lot of time with my 360 recently... I have to say the 360.
I was actually thinking that sega should have jumped back into consoles. They could have pre-empted microsoft and sony and screwed them both.
Microsoft did a great job today... a great job of sellig me a ps4.
as i am thinking about it. I did not really learn anything new today. Every important piece of information was already leaked prior to the show, except the design of the box.
Who cares about the box, especially since it looks like an actual box. No curves whatsoever. Very dull.
