I gave Kid Icarus: Uprising a fair shake, but I just didn't like it. Controls tlat out sucked. Sorry, Sakurai.
Of course, I never liked the original Kid Icarus on the NES for the same reason. Controls were just awful. Way too floaty.

I never played this on the SNES. I always wanted to, but it was never at the movie rental places nearby. I was a teen then with not a lot of spare money so I was leary about buying it full price becuase most of the mascot platformers I played before were awful, llike Aero the Acrobat and such. That's another reason why I don't like Sonic as much, and why I played mostly RPGs back then.
Since I was never into comic books that much, I didn't play very many of the comic book games on the SNES. This one included. I think I might've rented a couple of comic book games when I knew I would have a friend over who liked comic books, but I think that was just regulated to a couple of Superman titles.
My knowledge of X-Men and other Marvel characters mostly comes from Marvel vs. Capcom games, LEGO games, and the movies. I don't really even have a favorite Marvel character. Although if I had to pick one, She-Hulk from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was kind of neat I guess.
Yeah the Zelda game where you wake up on a shoreline is Link's Awakening, my favorite Zelda game. As you know, the remake on the Switch was my GOTY last year.
Here are the other games on that list that I like:
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Super Metroid
Super Mario Bros. 3
Ms. Pac-Man
Donkey Kong
Mega Man 3
Yes please! I hope you do get to read some of these reviews!
That pizza game does sound nice, but boy is it awful!
Splatoon 2 is great, but I wasn't as impressed with it since it felt like more of the same. Not that it's a bad thing, though. I was really impressed with the first game, however. It was my GOTY in 2015. I don't like shooters, but I enjoyed this one because it was so accessible. Even people I know who don't play games were able to jump into this one and even win a few matches!
The only thing I know about FF12 is that i think there is a character who has bunny ears and looks kind of cool. I wonder if she has a carrot sword, or instead of the dragoon command "Jump" she uses "Hop." That would be funny.
Yeah I never understood the draw of most Sonic games. There's very few I really like, but they are out there. Mario games are so much better. I'll probably still see the movie, though.
I played de Blob back on the Wii, I think. I would've gotten further into it, but it was so buggy and froze up so many times on me I just stopped playing it.
If you want a more goal-focused game like LEGO Worlds, try The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame. It plays like LEGO Worlds and has the same interface, but has more clear goals and things.
I know I've told this story before, but I'll tell it again because I like it. When my brother Jeff was itty bitty, he loved to play with aciton figures. His play would usually go like this: a giant orange plush dinosaur would savage the land, and the Power Rangers couldn't stop it. Not even Batman could stop it. But the Mega Man action figure I got for him would always save the day.
But one day he was watching me play Super Metroid and when I beat it, he started crying and sniffling and said "Is the...sniff...Baby Metroid...sniff...going to be okay?" He was only 3. I think he also cried when Zero died at the end of Mega Man X. Anyway, after that, the hero who would always defeat the orange dinosaur wasn't Mega Man anymore, but a jellyfish beanie baby that he dubbed the Baby Metroid.
