I have yet to play this game and all this music does is compel me to finally take the plunge. Any version you recommend?
If I recall they justify this to ensure you'll replay this game. It's a certain games idea to call it "replayablity". It'll keep you coming back for more and more till you get all you want. It's been done before with fighting games so it's only natural it'll transfer over to other games. It could be worse, you could've bought the game used and they lock all the extras behind an online pass paywall or on disc DLC...
but, but, but...I don't want a retro machine. It looks like crap when it's hooked up to my uber fancy, top of the line, high tech, heavy duty, energy saving, app functing, youtube/netflix ready, high-def LED/Plasma/OLED/3D TV....
Plus it totally doesn't clashes with my current systems.....
Makes me glad when I become a future parent I'll be able to talk circles around sales people just to have fun with them.
I know I'm bad and I shouldn't do that but you do raise a valid point. I know having options is good but when the options only offer just slight differences would that be considered a good thing or bad thing. I can understand diversifying one's system offerings but when does it get to the point where I'd rather sign up my future kid for football lessons?
I had a hard time swallowing the cost of a premium Wii U given I didn't see much being offered with that pricing amount. Most of that was from the hard drive size. 32GB? Really? I don't usually buy digital downloads but that's anemic in what we've seen in HDD offerings during this console generation. I've been told you can connect an external HD to the system but I've never found out if you can load/boot games off from it.
I still want a Wii U though. This price cut does help but not enough to move me there just yet.
Not sure if I'd go for a game like this. I'm too use to the old way of Solid Snake where I just have to deal with Snake himself, not a sqaud of people to deck out accordinly for any given mission. Sounds like it could be fun but I'm not sure if it's for me. Too much of an old salt stealth/kill crazy player I guess.
Looks like I made the right decision in not buying this game. I guess even SquareEnix is not immune to server errors. At least this time it has nothing to do with a restrictive DRM or online pass type system.
I actually enjoyed the demo when I saw this game. But didn't raelize how it went so downhill after that. It was yet again another codemasters situation: excellent idea, horrible execution. Even the ending was a letdown!
Lucky your even able to get on FFXIV:ARR, been hearing upsetting stories of peple not being able to even get on that game. You won't see me on there though sadly. It's a shame too since I do enjoy this game as well when I tried out the beta.
