Things I Have Been Doing; Brawling in Arrakis

I think I will also stop for a while, not because i'm not liking the shows, but because I gotta find another anime streaming cite, as the one I used closed forever. That or I would have to get the DVDs.

If I like Dune a lot, I could get the prequel books. But even then, i'm not having a hard time understanding the book. There's a lot of things on the book, but it's not an impossible read.

Growing Away From Fighting Games

Well, Brawl is still a popular game and its well liked, but much of the hate you mentioned comes from die hard Melee (and the original N64 game) fans thinking it got "dumbed down for dirty casuals".

Also, I can understand the complaints of die-hard fighting fans, since the game is not a "traditional" fighter. However, that doesn't mean that it means the game sucks. Its just that its not their thing and even they can try the game and find out that they can enjoy it. Unfortunately, some won't realize that.

Every time I hear this song:

It makes want to be a body guard of a famous band or musician and make him escape from crazy fangirls.

It makes me fired up and ready to do badass stuff.

I think I have more, but that's all I got for now.

Growing Away From Fighting Games

Well, I have played enough fighting games to know the basic and I quite like the genre, but i'm not too fan of it, since I don't own many and its always a chore (IMO) remembering the combos and getting a hang on the mechanics. But, I don't mind to buy them and I still enjoy to play them. And even if it's not a "traditional" fighting game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is one of my favorite games.

You know, I was very surprised how calm was the voice. But the swearing is so you.

Anyway, I quite liked the video. I think you are fit to do informative let's play, since your voice is calmed enough so everybody can follow you and you are very informative with the content of the game.

Very insightful blog Ben.

Even though I got burned out quickly by every discussion regarding feminism, I really like your view on the issue. I think you gave your points in a neutral stance without going overboard with drama or rage and I really agree that the mysoginism online on the internet or videogames are also as important as the things discussed by Anita (Which honestly I haven't seen her videos, but I don't feel like doing it). And yeah, since when was a problem being atracted to a body? I think the only line that could be passes would be when the person that is atracted to a body considers the body just an object, ignoring the person that bears the bearing.

coming as a person born with Asperger, I can really understand #5. I was a very aloof kid growing up, I used to and still get mad by a lot of things and didn't communicate that much with many kids in my classroom and in general with a lot of people. Luckily, it wasn't so bad as over the years I learn to be more social and something I like about Asperger is that I get a lot of imagination and creativity, and it's something I grew up with.

I like them. I get updates on new releases from bands I know (like Megadeth's Supercollider), know about new bands (like Device) and hear more bands I didn't hear or heard little (Amon Amarth, Cathedral). I guess the only thing I should add (but it's more of a suggestion), is that if you don't have any new album to review, you can always do like Punk Tuesday and do music posting like before.

Also, mothman reminded me indirectly that I need to get back again my Random Songs series. I left that in the dust.

Feminism in Gaming

Posted on 07/03/2013 at 03:19 AM | Filed Under Blogs

Honestly, sorry if I come as a bit agresive, but i'm pretty much tired of the whole feminisim in gaming as fast as the issues with the Xbone and their first policies.

On another note, i'm just going to mention that the Escapist community is like a combination of people that like and hate everything. It's varied to say the least. Sorry if I didn't bring anything informative.
