There is Midnight Club LA on the PS3. Most of the races are one lap deals, but there are a couple of lap races. Burnout Paradise is similar. Both games are open world where you see the start points for races. They are similar to The Crew. Also there is Split Second and Ridge Racer Unbound where they are lap races you can blow up sections to change the course. 

As for games that are similar to Outrun I realy can't name anything similar to it on this gen or last gen games. 

I don't think I made the jump to PS3 yet. I know I had the PSP, and the PS2 so I didn't get to try all the fun new games until years later. I didn't know games like Uncharted was released during this time, but I'm sure podcasts I was listening to were talking about them. 

I couldn't tell you what I was listening to in 2007. Maybe it was The Game, but I was into a couple of websites that created their own "mixtapes" of indie stuff I would download, burn to disc and play on my way to work. 

I liked the 40s period when I played Godfather and Mafia II. It seems like that there isn't a lot of games within that era (I wasn't really looking). I'd like to play another sandbox game during that era. 

Yeah. I should mix it up when I get to his missions and play the shooting portions in first person to see if it changes my view on on his missions. 

I need to see if the 2K games I own have that music feature. That is freaking awesome. 

I think my PC laptop can handle it. I just checked and it is available on the Mac, but it's $10. If my PC can't handle it, I'll try it on the Mac. 

Looks like I'm going to avoid Aliens unless its under $5. Even with those types of enemies I'd probably give Bodycount a try. Thanks for the info! 

The 2K games were so much fun on the Dreamcast. I was partial to baseball, hockey, and basketball. I didn't really appreciate 2K football until 2K5 on the PS2

Shoot I totally forgot about the NFS Beta. I remember seeing the old email a couple of days ago but never followed it through. 

I wish I could get into the Tapped Out during Halloween especially with the Simpsons folks putting in so much work with the Treehouse episodes. 

I wonder if my PS4 is setup like that. I know the dang PS3 fires up at 6am uploading saves and downloading whatever patches/updates that are needed. 

The first Sonic game is more true to the Sonic games. The second one seems to be Sonic Characters slapped into a running world with Sonic enemies. At least in the first one Dr. Robotnik is in the end of certain sections. 

I'm going with the Mets. Former Aztec Pitcher Addison Reed is in the Mets bullpen plus I own a Mets hat. I probably won't wear my Mets cap for a while because I don't want to be associated with Southern California bandwagon folks

Hate those Trevor missions. If it was just Franklin and Michael I would have played through the game multiple times. Trevor has a purpose but damn I just don't enjoy playing through his storyline.
