My systems get TLC as well. I've had my PS2 for a LONG TIME. It's going to be sad when it finally goes. It was one of my favorite consoles ever.

Based on your blog, I should enjoy this! A shame it did not do better. I bet its' sequel would have been spectacular.

I don't mind if it's a bit short as I've been more busy lately. There seem to be less idle moments I can sit down to play a long engrossing rpg. Guess that's the price paid for adulthood. lol.

I need to put more time into steam again. I think I got discouraged after Cave Story and Binding Of Isaac both began beating my ass simultaneously. lol.

I concur, it seems to be the fate of many original & solid games this generation. See what you've done? I'm sad now!

I'd be more excited about Lightning Returns if it was a stand alone title. However, I feel like I'll have to get the other "13" FF games to understand it fully. That sort of sours it for me.

My favorite "rpg series" was Digital Devil saga. They put the whole story they needed to tell into only two games.

Those Ascension boxes are some sexy swag! I remember being into Magic: The Gathering but that was years ago. (And my friends were always better at putting together kick ass decks!)

Reminds me more of Clock Tower. (Aka being chased with no immediate means to fight back) I like how the monsters are limited to the fog & rain. It creates a neat visual effect. I'm also reminded of Ico for some reason.

I've been clamoring for more "beefcake" for years. If fictional women are gonna be shown that way guy characters should get the same treatment. Heck, it would make male gay gamers a lot happier too!

I agree Japan is a more sexist culture. I'm not saying they're filthy sinners beyond salvation but their history and modern culture are kind of lacking in the progressive civil rights department. Still, I'd put them on a higher pedestal than many other places around the world.

Beyond that, 13 being the age of consent there freaks me out just a little bit. I'd probably be more cool with Japan if the age of consent was at the very least 15.

However, maybe people intellectually and physically mature faster over there? I have no clue! (I don't exactly have the funds to take a vacation there,Tami. lol.)
