Think Happy Thoughts, Think Happy Thoughts...

DT was inevitable. If not now then maybe within 10 years. I read way too much news and have followed poltics for too long and part of my anxiety comes from anticipation of this exact thing happening, and it is happening very rapidly. Its funny because I live in an area in northern Los Angeles, near the mountains that sometimes catches fire, like horrible wild fire that threatens to crawl down the mountain and destroy the city below it. For years I've thought about moving, but I've convinced myself that I live far enough from the mountain that if it ever came down, my home would be spared. This year, was the worst fire I ever saw. The enormity of it and the speed was tremendous and I felt small as I staired into the hell fire. Anyway, after several days of burning, winds calmed down, and the fire didnt come down this year, but I felt very uncomfortable about the whole thing, mainly because this horrible thing was caused by global warming and there are so many deniers of science and fact and intellectuals---that is what gave me despair. Ignoring all the signs that sit underneath the surface is why certain people have a hard time understanding the election outcome, but I understood it. Of course it was inevitable. The fire was eventually contained, but it scorched a lot of the earth and came close to killing us all.

I saw a mod of RE1 remake made in 1st person view and it is totally rad! If that is what RE7 is, then I can't wait to play that. I would love a Racoon City 1st person or Code Veronica too.

After FF15, I went back to DA:I.

Im 80hrs into DAI and still have like 4 main missions plus tons of sidequests. How long does a playthrough of DAI take for you? Also, how did you play the game differently each new time (class/race/etc.) and does the story change? I've seen many ppl talk about replaying DAI, and I can probably finish new playthroughs faster now that I've explored a lot of the areas, combat systems, etc. Overall, how do you see this game compared with the rest of the series if you played the first two games at all. I think Witcher 3 took me months to finish--honestly one of my longest playthroughs of any games without DLC even. Also, did you try DAI DLC? I can see how I can finish DAI story fast too next time, but I spent a lot of time just poking around all the maps exploring! It is one of the prettiest games I've played, and I'm a sucker for perty graphics.

I wish they made FE anime, even tho the game is already anime. I don't mind FE becoming a bigger property for Nintendo honestly. I do love strat games, and I like the simple paper, rock scissors combat of the series.

We're getting a rare remake for 3DS with open world progression. I like Warriors games, and I think FE is perfectly fitting for it. Also, the iphone game looks great! I'd love to have FE on the go on my phone. Not sure if I missed an announcement for Switch, but I hope we get a switch game too. Overall, I like the presentation quite a bit.

With TWD, I would lose characters not because of dialog options, but bad timing with prompts. Same w Game of Thrones. I'm stupid. I know.Undecided

I finished FF15, sort of...

There really isnt much of a story to begin with. It's all pushed to the background and might as well have just been a long CGI movie. A lot of the game is focused on the roadtrip gameplay: exploration and monster hunting. I actually didnt expect THAT ending at all. However, it is in line with previous FNC protagonists so I should have expected it. Yeah, it's mostly all KH action all the time and no story really.

Thanks for the music picks. I'll add to my listening rotation. Trump has me pretty angry all the time, so metal is about the only thing thats calibrating with my hate threshold. I could double down on rap too I guess. The Tales game I played on Xbox was Eternal Sonata and not a Tales game--oops! It was based on classical composer named Chopin and looked like a Tales game to me.

Yeah I played Xenoblade on Wii. I gushed about it before. I thought the story and world were interesting enough, very long though and combat is, umm..well it is what it is.

You didn't finish DA:I? I'm just playing around with combat abilities since you can respec quite easily with a cheap shop item. The environments are very nice to wander around in. I just have a bit of down time so I'm chipping away at it. It feels more like a Diablo3 or Torchlight than a tactics game to be honest. I'm also invested in the games lore from previous games so I just to finish it out, like with Mass Effect, and before another DA sequel is announced.

Wow....

In DAI normal difficulty, you run into high level enemies early on that you really cant kill, so you progress on with story and come back later. FF12 and FF15, as well as Xenoblade all work this way. The combat seems more fun with more unlocked abilites, tonics, and potions at the end of the game than at the beginning, so I'm fine with the difficulty. Although there are tons of videos where people spec out the best abilities early game to do massive damage. It's one of the side things that's made me look at the game in a different light. Also switching between party members if you get bored with your main class. It is super grindy though.
