Edf 2025,Vampires,and taking the brain out of rpgs!

Ah,that's the difference. I own an original copy. Hopefully steam has some kind of solution for that problem.

Ye Olde First Person Shooters Just Do Some Things Better

I concur. With FEAR 3 they amped up the glowy neon sci-fi shit and threw in more mechs. The more tense supernatural sections totally clash with the heavy weapon sections and the ninja type guys who look as if they're straight out of Tron.

I would not say FEAR 3 is "terrible" but the campaign is short (For both Pointman and Fettel). And therein is the novely, playing as either a vengeful ghost with psychic powers (and the ability to possess soldiers) or the traditional fps character that can go into bullet-time. Yeah, it "should" be pretty intriguing but the description is more interesting than the actual execution of the ideas themselves.

There are two endings but I'm hesitant to say either of them are good. True, they offer a bit of closure to the story arch with Alma Wade but something about the whole experience of FEAR 3 left me feeling cheated somehow.

Back in the day Bloodlines was indeed a "graphics whore",Matt. lol. I imagine when it came out quite a few people had to update their rigs. However, if you get a pc that's current within the last 5 or so years it should run Bloodlines smooth as silk!

Only thing I might say in Sacred 3's defense is that it might be a good "brain off" game to play with your fam and broskies if you simply like hack n slash games with minimal streamlined rpg elements. Then again, if that's your pie you're probably better off getting Diblo III Reaper Of Souls (consoles & pc) or Torchlight 2 (pc). Put simply, there are a lot of games out there that do what Sacred 3 does much better,Dan. (Including Sacred 2 Gold that's on steam right now)

Wishlist: 10 for 2014....and BeyonD, Pt.9 - Metal Gear 7

I'm rather excited for Phantom Pain as well though I didn't buy into the whole "pay $29.99 for a short prequel" nonsense Kojima pulled with Metal-Gear ground zeroes.

However jadedness aside, I do see MGS as one of the revolutional franchises that really pushed gaming into a new frontier in terms of both story-telling and gameplay.

Zombie Outbreak!

Almost makes me wish EDF 2025 had a few unlockable zombie maps. lol. That could have been fun. Could you imagine Zombie King Kong or Zombie Godzilla? Tongue Out

Yeah, like a good movie pretty much. It's the symptom many modern fpses suffer from, mate. Big on spectacle, story, and decent voice overs but lacking in the "shameless fun" and "replayability" departments.

We've had many of the same ups and downs with Witcher 2, Nicole. However, the stubborn gamer in me will probably keep experimenting until I figure it out!

Glad my art didn't make you want to hurl knives at my head. lol.

That's an apt analogy,Knight! Yeah, it's like a wax mueseum pretty much. You admire the painstaking detail of the sculptures but the tour guide is too persistent to walk you from point A to point B without you being able to soak up more atmosphere. That and it gets annoying to be told you cannot touch or interact with most of what's on display.
