I feel ya. I think that because Witcher tailors itself to a specific fictional character and how said fictional character would do things in the books it limits how creative you can be to some extent.

I remember the scenario in which Geralt lost his silver sword (Which is better against monsters) and at first I did not know what to do to get another one. I died on a quest because I did not have the proper blade on me at the time. Those little eccentricies of The Witcher are neat once you appreciate them but very cumbersome when you are trying to get used to them.

Dark souls is more of a "Make your own character and play the way YOU want!" rogue-alike rpg.

I got Darkstar 1 for my roomie & bestie and he loved it. He's a big fan of games like Freelancer so it was right up his alley!

They butchered it,man. If you loved Sacred 2 Sacred 3 comes off as a half-hearted thoughtless cash in. Same sad fate that befell Dungeonsiege 3. 

EDF 2025 harkens back to old school shooter fundamentals,Blake. More guns,more classes,more bugs,more maps,more drops.....more of "everything"! Anyone who liked Time Splitters or Pain-killer should give EDF a shot. Double that recommendation for people who are fans of Starship troopers!  

As for VTM:Bloodlines, it's one of my favorite rpgs ever. It's too bad Activision rushed the original team who worked on it but the fan community has truly made bloodlines shine with unofficial patches and mods!

Yeah, Sacred 3 is pretty much a prettier version of Gauntlet Legends which is sad considering the series used to be much more complex. (Though still user friendly despite the complexity.)

The only thing I hated about Sacred 1 & 2 were the escort missions but on the other hand you feel pride & accomplishment when you are able to keep someone alive. (And the game goes on even if the escort mission fails)
