Ah...if only I had your skills. Then maybe I could create a game based on this concept. Just wonder if I'd have to pay royalties to any of these folks.

I've been thinning out my old game mags lately,so I am looking at tons of ads. Most of them consist almost 80% of ad content. You are right about how much sex is crammed into them. Never had an effect on my buying of games, but I do like the boobs and butts! I remember that movie and the strip scene. James Spader plays creepy very well! Print ads lack the style they had back in the 80's and 90's. Now they are pretty direct and pander to the lowest common denominator.
Suda 51 is a genius....there,I said it. He is one of the best game designers around. I saw an interview with him recently where he discussed this game. His ideas are fantastic but not so insane that people can fail to connect with his vision. I am currently playing Shadows Of The Damned,so I guess I may be biased toward him at the moment. This game is going to be great,I can hardly wait.
I must find that this weekend. I am looking forward to this game so much I devour anything that has to do with it. They have put in so much work to make the two lead characters seem real,to make us care about them. The comics will allow us to go into the story knowing where Ellie comes from and what motivates her.
I like the old Leeroy Jenkins approach sometimes as well. Just running in all guns blazing. Do a lot of that in GTA games because cover in those games is shoddy as hell. When I was younger I thought it was Janis Joplin singing with Mick Jagger on the song. I was wrong, but it was pretty impressive anyhow.
Yeah,it does seem a bit clunky in Spec Ops:The Line. Lot of things to like in that game, but that isn't one of them. One thing we do very well in the US is guns. China has a lot of catching up to do on that front.
How did those emulators work? Was it software someone created? Just wondered about that because my Dad wrote some that reproduced Pac Man and Defender when I was a kid. Or is it just stuff you would download?
I'm going to look up pictures of that Lego X-Wing. That sounds amazing. I saw some TV shows the other day of Lego Star Wars that were pretty entertaining. I had no idea they had made those. I want them on DVD I think.
I found the first Fable game the other day for 5 bucks. It was in beautiful condition,so I figured why not? I will start there and see how I like it. Thanks for pointing out the flaws you found. Never really heard anyone address those before. People seem to put this particular game up on a pedestal for some reason.
That level of realism would be a real challenge. I used a ton of painkillers while playing Max Payne 3. I think I'm an addict now!
