We've got a pile of snow here in London. I went to work this morning and came home at noon in case the weather gets any worse. It looks like it is clearing up now. figures.
Glad you are feeling a bit better. I used to write a lot when I was younger. At one point I considered a career in journalism. That dream along with everything I wrote is gone now.
I can't do childhood gaming memories unless you want me to talk about hide and seek, cowboys and indians or make the kid next door eat toadstools (ok, that last one isn't really a game but I had fun until my mum found out.) I can do gaming memories in general though.
My parents buying me a Commodore 64 for Christmas. It was supposed to be for me to learn about computers and programming, at least as far as they knew. :D
My wife and I taking the bus out to the mall to buy our NES system. So many hours of Super Mario and Duck Hunt. (Stupid dog!)
Seeing Super Mario 64 in action on my TV for the first time. Sometimes I would just run around from level to level looking at shit and not really playing. My son used to do that too. Swimming in the moat was his favourite. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree right?
The Dreamcast. Damn I love that machine. I put almost 50 games on Amazon a couple of months ago and they're selling like hotcakes. (My heart hurts)
The PS2 my first memories of that are Final Fantasy X and Primal. I spent so much time with both those games. I sold Primal last year then bought the digital copy from PSN when the pain got too much for me to bear.
Finishing Persona 4 and getting really depressed that it was over. Seriously there was a palpable sense of loss.
there are probably a ton more but I'll stop there.
whachoo talkin' 'bout Alex? Pandas much like Fezes and bow ties are cool.
Hey if this is a filler blog, keep doing filler blogs.
It's a Stephen King book about a town that gets cut off from the rest of the world by an invisible dome.
I only started reading it because they made a TV show out of it and while I was interested in the mystery the acting on the show is so bad for the most part that I really don't want to watch it anymore.
As with a lot of his best work it gets deep into the characters lives and their pasts. So you have a main supernatural theme with a lot of side stories going on. Some have said it's his best book since The Stand but you either like King or you don't.
the book is over 1000 pages long so it's a big commitment too. I think I'm around 150 right now.
I couldn't finish Chrono Cross. The battle system just made me nuts. I've played Trigger 3 times though. That game is so much fun.
I never got into the first Mass Effect but I picked up the 3 game set regardless. With everything I've got to play though I don't know if I'll ever have the time to play 3 Mass Effects in a row.
lastly, you've never played Chrono Trigger? You better get on that mmmkay?
I saw it on PSN for $19.99 and almost bought it even though I don't own a Vita. LOL
Yep, it's really crappy here in London, Ontario. The roads weren't too bad coming in but it started snowing sideways as I got out of my car. The wind almost took my door off mainly beacause the building I work in is on an open field so thers's no windbreak at all.
