Yeah I think they made the fishing controls a bit too counter-intutive in Stardew Valley. I can understand why they wanted to make them different, but they should've looked back and asked, "Is this fun?"
Here's my review of Stardew Valley if you'd like to read it.

KIrby and the Rainbow Curse is one of the more difficult Kirby games. It's also one of my least favorite, along with Canvas Curse. They're not bad games at all, I just didn't like them as much as other Kirby titles. I'm glad that you are giving Kirby games a try, though. Kirby is my favorite Nintendo franchise.
I really hope I can get that SNES Classic Edition. I was upset when I couldn't get the NES one, but the SNES one has two out of my top five favorite games of all time on it, and the SNES was really the console that 'clicked' with me back then.
I'm not going to be re-buying games on the Switch either. I already have Pokken Tournament and Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U and played them to death. I don't need to spend more money for the Switch versions. Only exception I may make is if they released the Wii U Smash Bros. on the Switch, as I didn't get most of the DLC for that.
I really liked the Wii U, though. For a while, it was the only new generation console I had. But now I actually prefer playing games on my PS4. At least for now. Might change later.
Well I may have done well with resisting the temptation of getting Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures, but I haven't done so well with Nintendo's amiibo. :)
I have a Jet Vac figure. It probably came with one of the games I reviewed because I've never actually bought a Skylander yet.
I'll probably write that article sometime in July or August.
Ah the NIntendo Badge Arcade. I played that a lot. But I really didn't use the badges and it was just taking up memory on my 3DS, so I stopped after a few months. Good thing is that I didn't spend a dime playing it. I iwsh there was a REAL Nintendo Badge Arcade. They'd have my money for sure!

Have you ever tried Animal Crossing? It's one of those 'no pressure' kinds of games, and the one on GameCube is one of my top five favorite games of all time.
I'm currently playing Yooka Laylee right now. I think they did a good job as a tribute to Banjo-Kazooie (which is a way better series than DK64, by the way), but I had the same problems as you with controls and camera and such. I think it could've used a bit more time in the oven, but then it would've had to compete with Mario Odyssey.
