I have come to the conclusion that FOX just hates me. If I'm going to lose it, it usually happens just before a show wraps up and I end up missing the conclusion and wondering for the rest of the week just wtf ended up happening.
And I agree about the Bud commercial. I thought it was incredibly well done, and I have friends in the movie industry, so I do understand how long it takes to film something like that.
Apparently, my watching the Superbowl was the jinx for the Patriots. As soon as my antenna and FOX stopped speaking to each other, the Pats staged their comeback. Frustrating as hell, being as I'm a New Englander and they're my team.

I wanted to watch the game in the worst way, but I have a digital antenna that hs a love/hate relationship with FOX. It came in crystal clear for the first half and the half-time show (which I really enjoyed, especially since I've never really paid any attention to Lady Gaga before), then got all pixelated and went dark 90 seconds into the third quarter. And yes, it was streaming online, but we have a crappy internet connection and that just wasn't going to happen either. At least Jason updated me via text message. Sigh.
I really liked the Audi America ad, but then again, when I was a little kid and told people I wanted to be an astronaut, I was told "Oh, girls can't be astronauts. Don't you want to be a teacher or a nurse instead?"
After not having a turntable since forever, I finally gave up on ever getting one and gave all my vinyl, including two medium sized Uhaul storage boxes of allbums that had been my mom's to my boss, who has an incredible audio setup. It freed up a ton of closet space and I stopped feeling vaguely guilty about never getting around to getting a turntable. I do have my CD collection half-way organized in a really nice pine CD tower, but the company I bought it from went out of business before I could buy a second one and organize the rest. But they're stored in little wooden CD crates that I can stack and turn into a CD storage area when I finally get my butt in gear. Which I have a feeling will be soon, as the dog has really been great for my mental well-being and I'm actually looking forward to getting rid of the clutter rather than dreading and avoiding it like I had been for the last couple of years.
And I hear you on the physical vs digital thing I prefer physical, because then I know it's mine.
The walkthrough book for Riven is incredibly thick for a game that came out in 1997. Myst was also almost impossibly tough. My brother and I used to get together and try to solve the puzzles after we had Sunday dinner with our dad. I don't think we ever beat either game.
I never really watched it, being about ten years or more older than most of the rest of you. What I do remember is one of my littlest cousins running around saying "Suck gas, evildoer!" to just about everyone hed meet.
I really liked the 3DS Lego City Undercover game, and I hear the Wii U game was even better.
I bought a Fire Emblem game for my GameCube and never got around to playing it. I won't be getting this one, as I don't have an i-anything.
I love the Beach Boys. And yeah, it's because they have such great, tight harmonies and their music is just fun to listen to.
