So About Ni No Kuni...

I'm in the same boat as everyone else, it is a really good but slightly flawed game. Got about 15 hours in and got destracted by other stuff. I will get back to it one of these days, but yeah staight up TBC would have made this game an ace in the whole.

Yeah the multi-direction whip was genius, wish they had kept that. The sound track for IV is what really keeps it near and dear to me. Some of the best castlevania music ever.

Damn, couldn't stop laughing about "bumping uglies" with castlevania montsers. Would that be monsterphelia?Tongue Out Still got my copy of SOTN and I got Rondo via PSN. And my Personal fave Super Castlevania IV for SNES. I just feel like IV is often overlooked.

Borderlands 2 and My future in gaming

From my expirience I recommend just beating it. Then you can start a new game in True Vault Hunter Mode. You keep all of your stats and gear and you can still access all the DLC from any fast travel. You will also have an alternate access to your armory in Claptraps place. The reason to do this is if you start the DLC missions in normal, the mission will be way under level like 15 when you are likely at about 30 or 31. This means your not getting jack for exp. Chests and any enemy drops will be at lv 15 too. TVHM scales all enemies and loot to you. It is a tad bit harder but slag becomes much more useful. It just depends on how high a level you plan to take your character and how much of a challenge you want.

This is not going to help your gaming time issue either, but the very distinct play styles of each of the classes add a huge amount of replay value to this. Between all 6 characters I have probably played through and beat this game like 15 or more times over the last year and a half.

Well...

For the PS2 I would include Grandia 3 and Suikoden V. Grandia 3 starts off strong but gets kind of weird late game. Suikoden V goes back to the roots of the series, plays more like a polished version of 1 & 2. Not really sure why this game is so overlooked.

Damn, the only game I think I clocked even close to that much time into was FFVII, but not completely sure since the clock stops at 99 hours, lol. I got at least 130 in that one. I love my rpgs, but I don't like it when they get too grindy. Bioshock Infinite is a great game. Need to get it myself, played it via gamefly, but there is supposed to be some interesting dlc for it in the works. I'm currently bouncing around between FF14, Borderlands 2, and playthrough #2 of Mass Effect. Got the soundtrack recently and listening to it made me want to play it again.

This runs kind of parallel with the blog I wrote about Trap games. Its not something you see much of . May have been more popular in Japan and never made it s way over too. But I think its the same reason Catherin was a cult hit. It was out of the ordinary and those who took the chance to try it would see real quick this is unlike anything you have ever played before. In a nut shell it is a platformer puzzle with rpg style elements and classic Altlus production flavor. But yeah, totally feeling your point. Great peice of writing.

I just read an article on Yahoo putting forward the question of whether it is a good idea to sell your old system or not with the new heavys on the horizon. The overall opinion of most people on the comments was, well since there is no backward compatibilty of course I'm not going to sell my old system. Also most folks were of the mind to wait and see what happens. The reasons ranging from lack luster release line ups to the infomous technical hickups of red ring(360!) and systems that chew up your games(PS2 verticle issue). And then there is the sky high prices. The economy is still in recovery and most people are not too keen on droping 4 or 5 bills on anything right now.
