I agree. Though I do think addiction tends to be easier to fall into with gaming. Especially with MMOs which are fine-tuned for addiction!

I'm actually soloing most of the time I'm playing FFXIV. Though socialization is certainly one aspect of the addiction. There are also things like the vast amount of time you have to put in to make any progress in leveling, but at the same time a quest can be finished in a few minutes. "One more Quest! One more Quest!"
Yes, I love this hobby but there is a certain point where I have to acknowledge gaming has its flaws.
Yes, very sad news. I only briefly heard about him last year, but it's unquestionable that he's had a major impact on gaming. He will be missed.
I will at least have one friend quest with me eventually. I've powered way ahead of him in leveling though. I won't be looking for many other people as I don't plan to play the game for more than a few months. An expansion pack and the PS4 version would be a good excuse for me to commit to it later on.
Cool, you got a rare yellow NES! Seriously though, that's a good deal. My brother got a NES a long time ago with 20 crappy games for like $20. Must have been a clueless owner at that garage sale!
Yes, the first two were really hard. I only actually beat the first and fourth games. Never even played the third one because I knew it wouldn't be the Phantasy Star I was expecting.
Lol, you played the beta though so I imagine it would kind of suck to have start your character from scratch. Maybe it's best to leave while you still can!
I kind of have a love-hate relationship with Kingdom Hearts at the moment. The Disney and Square worlds worked so well together in the first game, but the series has since descended completely into teen-angst mumbojumbo. *Sigh*
Happy 33rd! I'm kinda done with Halo (funny coming from "Halochief"). I'll still play Halo Reach occasionally, but I honestly don't care what 343 does with the series into the future.
