I heard from a friend that the line-up at our Walmart was over 40 people. This was no midnight release, it was 8am!

Phantasy Star is indeed awesome! I should probably give Shining Force another try. I didn't like Golden Axe, but I also don't like beat-em-ups as a whole.
Wow! This makes the series' strong performance on PSP look weak by comparison. I mean, yeah I think one of the games on PSP sold almost 4 million copies, but that was over the course of several years!
I'm about to post a blog about my experience with this game. In short: I'm loving it. I can't say I agree with the lack of required teamwork being a negative. Actually, my worse experience with the game has been people who force teamwork on others. I just started the game like many others, and having someone basically screaming repeatedly into their keyboard that I'm playing the game wrong is not fun. In fact, that almost ruined my day.
That said, I haven't been playing this game as long as you have and it seems like it's no longer the game that once hooked you. That sucks and it's a shame SE turned the original game's servers offline completely.
I haven't had much urge to try Kingdom Hearts again after the overwrought Birth by Sleep. I still have a PS2 copy of the original anyway. I've preordered FFX HD though I am wondering that the orchestrated soundtrack and the overhauled visuals are a wasted effort; it just doesn't look any more impressive than any other HD upgrade. Again, I do have the original if I don't like the changes!
I bought Sonic's UGC when it came out like 3 or 4 years ago and I think I still have like a dozen games to play on it. The problem is even with 40+ games on the collection almost all of them you will try once, say "that was neat" and never try it again. The only games I beat on that collection were the Phantasy Stars.
Sure beats paying $300 on a Wii U for a game you might only try once though!
Damn, I'm also from Canada and this is quite tempting even though Vita and PS4 are way higher on the list of systems I need to buy.
I would prefer a more reliable screenshot than one taken with a handheld camera. I do wonder how much the glare and distance is affecting those shots.
What's even more puzzling is why all the game journalists are only critiquing Quiet's design now, and not say, back at E3 when the character was first shown. It's like one guy decided to bring it up and everyone hops on the bandwagon. It worked I guess, the editors got their page views. Not because they were great articles but probably because the articles promised pictures of T&A.
I've never even heard of Infocom. It seems I will have relenquish my gaming throne. Clicking on the site, I have heard at least heard of a few of those games. Certainly never played any of them though! Oh well, it was before my time I guess. Good to know there are apparently still more areas in gaming I am unfamiliar with.
