I was able to sink a fair amount of time into Bloodborne yesterday and cannot stop thinking about it. I really don't want to be away from my PS4 at the moment. I just want to play more Bloodborne.
I agree, the loading times are abysmal. I recall seeing somewhere that they are working on that though.
There is a lot that I really liked about Perdido Street Station. The book is just very dense. There is info dump after info dump and once you think you have it down, there is another info dump.
I have had some issies with Mieville. I tried The City and The City and that was really slow going, so I gave up at the time. I also read 2/3rds of Perdido Street Station and set it down for far too long. I have had issues getting back into it since. I even tried to restart it and never got very far.
The last book I couldnt put down was The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. So good.
I enjoyed this game a lot when I played it last year. It scratched my constant Metroid itch.
Can't stop playing Rogue Legacy.
Castle of Cagliostro is one of my all-time favourite movies, of all time. There is something about the character of Lupin that I just love.
Echoes is probably my favourite of the Prime Trilogy. Prime was amazing and all, but it hit too many of the same notes as Super Metroid. I liked the industrial world of Aether, eventhough it was saturated in purple.
So, my PS3 collection is quite small. When I decided not to replace my console when I got the awful little yellow light I cleared house, save for a few of my favourite games. Just in case I ever find myself in possession of a PS3. So, my collection consists of the Ratchet and Clank games, Resistance and the Jak and Daxter Collection.
I have only spent time with what I consider the 'core' series. So, no All 4 One, Full Frontal Assault, Quest for Booty and the PSP games.
That being said, Ratchet and Clank is one of my top 3 favourite gaming franchises. They were always a blast to play, after the first game, and had a great sense of humor. The best part was that the games were filled to the gills with content. With trying to level up all the weapons, collecting all the platinum bolts, and getting all the skill points you could easily sink dozens of hours into the games.
my younger brother was over yesterday and he started The Last of Us. There were quite a few little things that I noticed while he was playing that I missed the first time around. So, I am actually looking forward to watching him play the game, just so that I can catch more of the little things that make the game amazing.
