I don't know about new stuff that well, though my brother's been telling me for a while now to start reading Berserk or Attack on Titan as soon as I get the chance. As far as stuff I've read goes, I'd go with either Soul Eater or One Piece.
If you do go the Naruto route, I suggest only reading up until a certain point. I used to be a big fan until that point and it really dulled any excitement I had going for it.
I haven't finished it either, I made it pretty far into the GBA port but got stuck. Need to see if I can find it again and give it another shot.
I really want to play Dark Souls 2 (and the other games in the series, for that matter), hopefully I will some day.

I'm not a fan of KFC, though I haven't been in one in years so maybe it's gotten better.
