lol the important thing is we both came up with stupid ways to give each other crap about the outcome of a sporting event, which is proof of our American citizenship.

I should probably learn plumbing ... and car fixin' ... and roofing ... and anything else that costs a lot when you ask someone else to do it. It's great you're getting that experience and shows you have great work ethic.
Smash Bros. sounds like fun.
145 is pretty standard to have on a bench (bar is 45, a "plate" or 45 lbs added on either side) and if you're doing 150 that's pretty good, keep it up.
It doesn't, there's a GameStop here. My friend already posted a pic of himself with the Smash Bros. Champion belt, the game, and a Star Fox amiibo, he just is spending time with a freind he hasn't seen in a while.
It's not that NBC is unreliable with antennae, I seriously think Suddenlink in Nacogdoches has it and it's a cable-only channel here. I hate not being able to get PBS as well, but FOX comes in clear as a bell for me.
I don't know and I'm not sure that necessarily has to do with it. Suddenlink in my area may have just decided no NBC for us antenna-using peasants.
And yeah, Sonic Boom couldn't be reviewed until its release day and even IGN had to buy their own copies. Always a sign of confidence in the product ...
For me, it's a special weekend cause it's the one before Thanksgiving. Only have to go in Monday and Tuesday next week and then it's off to Missouri to visit family.
Lego Movie was good but overhyped, I agree. It was very fun, but it wasn't the "joy explosion" reviews and word-of-mouth made it out to be. There were definitely a couple places in the movie that dragged for me and I too thought Batman and his gf were scene stealers. Also, did you like that "Everything is Awesome" song? Cause it wore on me quick, to be honest.
Love Bourdain and love him even more after hearing how much his book Kitchen Confidential inspired the movie Chef. Might need to read that one.
You're right it's a shame about SFA basketball losing that at home. That one hurt. I find it funny SDSU fans are bitching about an arena being empty when the only reason SFASU's was so full was that the game was hyped on this campus so much teachers just up and cancelled their 8ams to go to it and let students do the same. Ha!
Good on you for buying a PS4 and a Dirk figure. This is why we're friends. lol
Would that include card info or just account info?
This kind of thing happens way too often. Last time I ordered Jimmy John's online I had to check and make sure my nearby one wasn't affected by card hacking. And then it said the affected cards were the ones in-store, not the ones online.
I have a few friends who have visited France, Ireland, Italy etc. and they say they expected to like France or Italy the best, but wound up loving Ireland the most. Plus I'm 75% Irish so that makes me biased.
It is definitely true about "grass is always greener" though. When I visited Boston in 2006, I ignored a lot of the shitty things going on and only focused on the positives to conclude it was a flat-out better place than Dallas, TX. But then as I think about it, each has its pluses and minuses. I think I just want there to be a perfect place, even though it doesn't exist, so I trick myself into believing certain places are it.
I really hope this Master's will help me avoid fork-in-eye jobs or at least pay me decently if I decide to get one of those. Good luck on the job hunting! I can appreciate how much of a pain in the ass it is!
Hope your mom gets better!
And why not just wear purple to the gender reveal and cover all bases? lol
Playing: I'm still on Limbo and Legend of Korra. Hoping to finish both over the weekend. Both games you're playing sound like a good time to me though.
Reading: I never did finish Fellowship or move on to the others. What I notice I like about the books in what I used to consider the "boring" parts is Tolkien's humor. I get the feeling he's talking about some of his own relatives in that scene where Bilbo has the party. lol If I didn't have a thesis to refine, I'd pick it up again, but maybe I'll revisit all that once the new Hobbit film comes out.
In the meantime, I think Thanksgiving will give me a chance to finally get through The Fault in Our Stars and make me thankful I don't have cancer. Might read Divergent too, as I think you said you enjoyed that one, but wasn't digging the first few pages about the separate societies and whatnot. I think that may be more due to being a bit burnt out on dystopian novels though. I say that, but I'm excited for Hunger Games Part I. I dunno.
Watching: There is soooo much good stuff on Netflix. I'm gonna try to start on The Blacklist. Love me some James Spader. Ever watch Boston Legal? That was THE show for myself, my older brother and my dad when it was on TV for a bit. Then I'll see about finally watching Goodwill Hunting, maybe rewatching the Burton Batmans and I've been watching old Yu-Gi Oh episodes.
This morning, Legend of Korra had a clip show and the ending with Verrick was brilliant. Reminded me of the play towards the end of the original series. Something big is coming in these next five episodes for sure. I'm thinking there's a four-parter next then the finale.
Listening: Loving the 80s, punk and funk in your playlist. I'm still making sure KSAU plays stuff appropriate for our alt rock format that doesn't suck and have been listening to Bayside - "Already Gone" on repeat. I think Arctic Monkeys "R U Mine?" is my favorite song right now as far as riff composition and energy. Gonna need to learn both on guitar.
And I know what you mean about group singing (kind of). I think it's just really satisfying to harmonize with other people to give things a fuller sound and therefore fuller feel. My friend and I used to play guitar out of sync with each other all the time in that typical one-upsman masturbatory kinda way, but one day we decided to harmonize on I think "Reign in Blood" by Slayer. We even both nailed a pick squeal at the end. So much more satisfying than the annoying shit we usually did.
I need to jam with someone soon.
There's a Dingle Peninsula? Really trying to live up to drunkard stereotypes over there, aren't you?
I kid, I kid! In truth, I'm just jealous you live in a place as cool and good-looking as Ireland.
Mothman and goaztecs should be given some kind of staff position as "Deal Scouts" on here.
Glad you got the gaming going again and were able to nab a cheap 2DS!
