20 Awesome Ninja Games #4: Shinobi

Posted on 02/06/2014 at 07:22 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Arcade Shinobi and Arcade Roling Thunder always reminded me of each other.  Who copied who?  Namco or SEGA?  Who can say, they both did it to each other!

Yeah it definitely wasn't an exciting, close game.  Seattle ate too much spinach.

I actually like Mario 2 and Mario World better, but SMB3 is still a good game.

The game didn't bother me too much because I wasn't really rooting for any particular team.

I was at the right age to get into Transformers as a kid. But it only lasted for a year or two.  After that I was just into video games and that's it.

You sure do like Fatal Frame games!  Have you tried Spirit Camera on the 3DS?  It's actually a Fatal Frame game, too.

BaD Ep 6: PS3 Games I want to try

Posted on 02/06/2014 at 05:51 AM | Filed Under Blogs

That PlayStation All-Stars game is a Smash Bros. rip-off, and not very balanced.  But you know what?  It's still fun to play and see your favorite PlayStation characters again.  I say, pick it up if you can find it cheap.

My brother Jeff reviewed the Deadpool game for me, he loved it.

Other PS3 games you should try include Ni no Kuni, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and DuckTales: Remastered.

BaD Amusement Park Ride (BaD 3)

You'd think they would've made a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 ride, seeing as though the music during the character select screen says, "I'm gonna take you for a ride..."  OK, sorry, that was bad.

Here's some amusement park trivia you may not know.  Six Flags theme parks, at least the one near where I live anyway, have a kid's section called Looney Tunes Land.  But before Six Flags was owned by Warner Bros., for a while the kid's section was called Pac-Land!  Seriously!  I went there when I was a little kid.  I don't remember much, but they had a Pac-Man shaped ferris wheel, a maze, and a dopey puppet magic show. This was back in the early 80's, by the way.

Well there are the Rune Factory spinoff games.  In those you farm like in Harvest Moon, but when you're done for the day, you can go fight monsters in dungeons, and convince them to work on your farm!  I actually like the Rune Factory games better than Harvest Moon (XSEED sometimes publishes them in the US instead of Natsume for some reason).

Ys Seven is excellent, one of the best PSP games out there.  Fantastic music, too.
