I knew there was a name for it, but I was too busy Googling overlong word vomits to Google that.

Yeah, I saw a video of it on Youtube, vaguely reminded me of when as kids we'd make LOGO art using the "turtle" (on-screen arrow) on the school's computers in my mom's class. Vaguely. Honestly, it reminds me more of the start-up screens to those old machines more than anything.
And I've always taken Rogue-like to mean a game that is intentionally too difficult for most gamers to get into. But I do have a hard time with RPGs, so I'll take your word for it on that definition. lol I have an ok time with Pokemon and Paper Mario games, but something more traditional like Golden Sun is not a game I tend to get very far in.
I was gonna say, the Mario track sounded like a danceable jazz track played by a live band comprised of silly-looking ghosts playing to an audience of choreographed ghost dancers who were doing some next-level moves with their partners.
I'm not on drugs, so where did that come from? Must be a lack of sleep.
It also sounds like it would fit in that bar from Star Wars.
I've never really thought about this before, but you'd think more horror games would be set in swamplands given the whole Louisiana-voodoo thing. I bet there's a lot of interesting stuff you could do with that setting.
Maximo was a continuation of Ghosts n' Goblins, wasn't it?
LEGO Marvel Superheroes sounds super fun.
Yeah, I knew Rogue was a game that created a genre, kind of like how Metroid and Symphony of the Night-style Castlevania games helped create the "Metroidvania" genre, but I never knew what Rogue looked like.
See, this is just another petition that could have gone to a more worthy cause, like potato salad.
My favorites are Switch Force and Super Mario 3D World I think.
Off the top of my head, Arkham Origins is the best game I've played this year ... which is annoying, cause my laptop doesn't like that game. Tomb Raider? Ran fine on normal settings, able to play for long sits. Origins? Shuts my laptop down with less and less time to play as I progress through the game, with every graphics option on the lowest possible setting. It's not memory, so the area I'm in in the game must be temporarily boosting things in a way my laptop can't handle. Stupid Bane fight.
I could care less about Super Mario 64, but loved Super Mario Sunshine. I haven't played any other 3D Marios really.
Bummer about the PC. I'm still pissed that Bane keeps breaking my game. Asshole.
I'd love a 3DS and PS4 as I have said so many times ... if only money grew on elephants.
