Dennis Rodman being at the top of bing is the most baffling of the trio. Have you seen his action movie, Double Team? I have not watched it all, but what I have seen is pure gold.

Oh yes, as far as a fast food burger goes, Whataburger is probably tops. It is definitely an after party place since they never close.
I ate at Bottlecap Alley, which is a small chain starting up by the owners of Cotton Patch Cafe (yuck). This place makes pretty good burgers, although their fries are sorta not great. They might have one over Dallas way, and if so you should give it a shot. I wouldn't drive anywhere far for one.
Another Texan here. I do like Whataburger, but it's not my favorite. It doesn't help that we are in the midst of a burger explosion right now! Just got back from eating a tasty burger tonight, in fact. Blue cheese and jalapenos... mmmmmm....

Everything just takes some adjustment. The biggest babies about cold weather down here seem to be people from the midwest or even farther north.
Wow, this sounds terrible in almost every way. Vacationing with kids can be stressful just because of your kids, but you had a LOT of other stuff working against you. I guess you appreciate home more now, though!
Historically, we haven't had too many problems with trolls and the like. I'm happy to see that our influx of new users doesn't seem to include any either. I'm glad you like it here!
I live in Texas and love to go outside! Unless it drops below fifty or something ridiculous. 
I have most of those same issues you have since I am adult and shouldn't be doing something as silly as playing video games. People get over it eventually, but it can be pretty frustrating.
