it's too close to xmas for me to get involved with this, but I do agree this might be a problem. I can see the good intentions, and maybe it will work out. but it also smells funny. I don't like those Penny Arcade anyway. Their comic has never made me laugh, and they seem quite full of themselves. But to each their own.
the only game I know about is Chronos Arc, which I heard is pretty good! Sorry about your hip. My dad got his knee replaced last year, and it was sad to see him in his post-op condition when he was all drugged up and couldn't do anything for himself. He is doing great now though!

I love science fiction, but I'm not sure if I have ever read Vance or not. I'm just not sure. I just bought Asimov's Foundation as a christmas present for myself too.
I have weight issues too... 
I used to be skinny as a twig too. But since I went on medication and other reasons I've gotten fat. About 250 lbs now and I'm only 5'8". I have a big old belly. 
And I have cholesterol problems. I should be exercising, but I just get distracted from it whenever I start a routine. Oh well. I'll get the hang of it eventually. I smoke too....
an xbox controller is definitely worth the investment. I have one....
I want to play the new 3D version of Space Harrier but I haven't gotten around to it. I used to love that game when I was a kid.

Wow, awesome you won that cookbook. I like Treme except for when they get a little political. Otherwise I like the stories about the musicians and stuff. I loved the Wire too.
