Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but I can't help but feel like the DKC games are overrated. I have the first and second on SNES and have spent plenty of time with them. The gameplay is rather simplistic and gimmicky. Every level revolves around some kind of gimmick. DKC 2 was one of the most frustrating games I played in a long time. Those damn mine cart levels are horrible. I can appreciate their fluid gameplay, and do agree that they are fun, but they have problems. The best thing they had  to offer was great graphics and sound.

I used to rock out to that Clayfighter song on SNES. I didn't really know video games could have spoken dialogue untill I played Super Metroid, and heard that narrator say: "The last metroid is in captivity. The galaxy is at peace." That kinda blew my mind at the time lol. The only song I can think of like this is the intro to Tenchu on PS1. That game is really dated, but I still have a soft spot for the atmosphere, japanese music, and horrible voice acting.

To The Moon. I don't know if I'd even call it a "game". It's more like an interactive story. It's not long either. I finished it in 3 hours.

I really liked Claymore. I'm hoping to watch some of those anime that Ashley recommended. That movie Locke sounds like Phone Booth. Did you ever see that? The whole damn movie took place around a phone booth.

There's only one game on Steam I have 100% for, and that's only because it only has one achievement. Which you get for finishing the damn game lol. There was a time when I was an absolute trophy whore though. That was before I realized that playing games for trophies is kind of pointless and sometimes even takes the fun out of it.

Nice review Joe! All I can really say is that I definitely know how you feel about optimization issues. I was kind of amazed that Tomb Raider ran so smoothly lol. I got my fingers and toes crossed for GTA V.

Yay for more New 3DS systems! I got kinda scared the other day when mine wouldn't read Theatrythym. The damn thing is not that old. I blew into the cartridge slot and that seemed to "fix" it though. Remember when companies had quality assurance? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Congrats on finally beating it! I know that sense of accomplishment from beating a game that has haunted you forever all too well. I FINALLY beat Ninja Gaiden on NES a few months back. That game is an absolute nightmare. Especially near the end. If you die on any of the final bosses (there are three in a row) it sends you all the way back to 6-1. Stage 6-2 is easily the most frustrating section of the whole damn game. I was on cloud nine and dancing when it was over with lol.

GH! Im so glad your still alive!  Welcome back! I'm back too. At least until the lynch mob decides to show up. I can't say I'm surprised your still playing MGS lol.

That God of War Collection was what I was playing when my first PS3 got the YLOD. I think Kratos would have been proud though. I was so pissed off I ripped that damn thing apart with my bare hands trying to get my game out lol. Hopefully you won't encounter the same issue. On a lighter note I really like the first Resistance. Did you play that?
