Just looking through the games coming out in March. Question is, which do I buy day-one and which do I wait for? It's a really tough decision. Buying all of them would probably cost $250 which is way beyond my budget. One, maybe two of them is possible.
A week or so back I picked up the two Witcher games on Steam mainly because paying $1.99 for the first game again was cheaper than buying an external DVD drive so I could install my disc based version. Compound that with the fact that patching the game to the enhanced version may be free but it's a pain in the ass.
So it finally happened. Crash Bandicoot was coming onto a system I actually owned. I could not be any more excited to play the hell out of that game, it was the first GBA game I was super excited for. At the time, I played the hell out of it, and upon returning to it, I found that there was a lot to like.
I like story-driven games. If I'm going to invest a lot of time in a game, there has to be something that interests me, and usually it's a story. That's why I love most Japanese RPGs - there's a story, it may be cliched, but there's a story. KOTOR hooked me the same way, even though I'd figured out my character's actual identity within the first 15 minutes of the game. It's why most fighting games and most FPS games don't interest me all that much, not enough of a story to keep me hooked. Exploration is the other key to my like or dislike of a game. I need to explore the environment. It doesn't have to be an open world, but there needs to be enough nooks and crannies to check out in outside areas, as well as drawers and cupboards to poke my nose into in houses and other buildings.
Played a bunch of Borderlands 2. Collected a bunch of achievements and then restarted the game on Vault Hunter difficulty. Gaining levels a lot faster, enemies a lot tougher, the battles a lot more enjoyable and hectic. I am still dying alot being an Assassin. It's hard to keep these bull rushing enemy off you long enough to site them with your sniper rifle. Bacially I feel like a very weak player in this game.
First of all, I need to get back to work, as this is about how I feel realizing how much I have to do very soon, after wasting my Friday and Saturday doing mostly nothing:
