So I just finally beat Pokemon Pearl for the DS. I have had it since it came out and never really got into it even though I am a huge fan of the series. Did it all with a super under powered team too. Like they were 20 levels under and the only elemental advantage was over the fire guy. Me being an idiot too, I saved right before I faced the Pokemon Champion so I had no choice but to beat her with this team.
To make a long story short, my older son got his shit wrecked by our treadmill today. Apparently he knows how to turn the thing on, and after doing so today, he fell on it and got caught at the back end of it between it and the wall. He's got some pretty nasty burns from the thing going just a little over 1mph and a few spots where it totally rubbed his skin off and he has an open cut.
Busy day today, so just thought I'd pop in and give some awareness towards Energy Hook. One of the few Kickstarters I backed, it looks really good. The Kickstarter's long over, but the game's coming onto PC, PS4, and Vita. So here's why I'm excited:
Ninja Striker! is a fairly simple one-touch iOS game. Or so it seems. It doesn’t make the best first impression because it’s too simplistic. You just tap somewhere on the screen to send your little pixelly ninja flying in that direction, katana swinging. Anything in the way will get sliced and if you tap on an enemy specifically, you’ll fly to that enemy and stay there slashing it until it dies. Your ninja can also stick to walls and ceilings. Three hits and you’re dead but there’s nothing to worry about. The first couple levels are pretty boring because they’re so easy. Things start to change with the first boss though. He’s a little guy about your size and he jumps around shooting baby tornados at you. If you just sit there hitting him, you’ll die pretty fast. You have to jump around and make strategic swipes at the boss. Then the second set of levels are much more complicated with lots of bottomless pits and deadly spikes. It takes a lot more planning and attention to make it to the end of the level intact. I’ve now played through the second boss and Ninja Striker! has gone from a game that I was going to drop with a disinterested “meh” to a game I’m interested to see where it’ll go next.
Hi there. Another short blog and unfortunately another day of not getting enough sleep. Its made me really lethargic about writing today but I haven't done much either. Just 3rd shift work, sleeping, and finally some RE 6 play that my friend is still waiting on me to join back in. I'll be writing second part of my Fighting game preview thingy tonight for Wednesday but that's about all I plan to do. And maybe try and get some sleep. Maybe. Anyway that's it for today. I leave you with some Giant Bomb Awesome sauce. Later.
Sorry folks, I'm too busy gaming to write a decent blog today. Tales of Xillia is consuming my time. But I'll leave you with a photo to make you laugh:
Ok, I'm stretchin' for 'em today. I've got my headphones on and I'm playing BD as I write this so it's going to be short. I'm about to awaken the Water Crystal so I can look forward to something big and mean jumping out at me.
