Last year, relatively unknown director Kevin Tancharoen released a video online called Mortal Kombat: Rebirth. It was unclear at first just what it was supposed to be; a trailer for the upcoming game series reboot, or a trailer for a new film. As it turns out, it was neither one, but instead a project Tancharoen did to show what he would like to do if he was given the chance to work on a new Mortal Kombat movie.

Uncharted 3 to Utilize PSN Pass

Naughty Dog's latest will require a code to play online.

In an interview with The Vault, Juan Jimeñez, Sony’s software manager for Spain, confirmed that gamers wishing to utilize the online multiplayer features for Uncharted 3 will have to enter a PSN Pass access code in order to do so.

Lionsgate Picks up Dead Island Movie Rights

Zombies are so hot right now!

The trailer for Dead Island took everyone off-guard. It crossed over from the usual video games press and fandom into other areas of geekdom like comics and movies. It even got the attention of Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright, who tweeted about it. The somber and poignant CG depicting a family falling to zombies created a tropical storm of hype.

Isaac Clarke To Get Chilly Reception In Dead Space 3?

Hopefully that armor has a heating system.

Dead Space 3 has yet to be announced formally by EA, but that’s not going to keep the proverbial cat (or is that necromorph?) from getting out of the bag. After the success of Dead Space 2, and the cross-media blitz that EA has done with the franchise, a third game in the series was pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Diablo III Delayed to 2012

Get your click on early next year.

Blizzard is one of the few game developers to have the luxury of releasing a game “when it’s done”. Considering that the company was able to release both Starcraft 2 and the Cataclysm expansion for World of Warcraft in one year it should come as no surprise that they have decided to delay Diablo III.
