Free to Play? Make it so.

Cryptic Studios has announced that Star Trek Online will become free to play on January 17, 2011. This model has proved to be quite successful as Cryptic Studios' other MMO Champions Online has gone this route as well earlier this year.

Just don't ask us when that will be.

At this past E3 Nintendo pulled back the curtains on the Wii U, the company’s first gaming platform capable of producing High Definition graphics.  While the controller and muddled presentation of the system took most of the spotlight, Nintendo produced a sizzle reel of 3^rd party games that are said to be in development for the new system.  One of the more notable games in the reel was Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, a title that should give Nintendo some credentials with the mature gaming audience.  While we still don’t know for sure when the game is set to hit shelves, we have it on good authority it will launch alongside the system promoting it.

Story, control, and gameplay ideas for a Zelda reboot.

After 25 years and 13 games, Zelda is certainly no spring chicken. We've heard more about Link, the Triforce, Ganon, and a plot hole-ridden timeline than you can shake a Deku stick at. It looks like Skyward Sword will shake things up, but for me it's not enough. The world of Hyrule needs a new hero to rise. That hero is the cucco.

A release date has been leaked on a New Zealand reatailer.

God of War IV's release date may have been leaked by New Zealand retailer MightyApe. September 28, 2012 is the date they have listed. Sony has yet to confirm the release date or if the game is even in development.
