I wish I could say that the fact that I haven't been writing much is that I'm having a thrilling adventure, living life to the fullest, and feeling at the top of my game... but that would be a lie. A really great lie that I would gladly trade my current standing, but a lie nevertheless. I've hit rock bottom, at least from a personal standing. Yesterday, after coming home from a rough night at my 3^rd shift job, then having a hard time sleeping in the day, and finally just plain being a really cranky ass to myself and others, I kind of found it hard to be happy about anything really.

I know all of you guys are either enjoying yesterday's release of Grandiose Taking of  Automobiles:The Fifth or having a structured and well matured debate over Sega's recent acquisition of Index Corp. and Altus on the internet. Hello, everyone. Well everyone else has made one, I figured I might have a crack at talking about the awesome Dragon's Crown. I don't know what I can add that anyone else would have but here's what I've got out of a week-ish worth of playing:

Hi there folks. I hope all is going well. I can't say the same for myself though. Been a rough last few weeks working and with family. Took a lot out of me. Anyway, there's something I've been meaning to ask people for opinions about and that's about critiques. I've been thinking about the stuff I've wrote recently, I really don't like the quality of what I've written. I want to improve what I write and definitely minimize the bad stuff. I was wondering what are the best ways to get critiques or feedback? I ask that question because I do ask for critiques periodically in my blogs but I don't get much of it. Its weird that I'm taking writing so seriously, even when I don't really have much interest going professional, but I just love writing and getting better at it. Its kind of like how I am towards fighting games. I enjoy the challenge and getting better at it. Its weird.

Hey there folks. I'm changing things up today, again. Originally I was going to write about Killer Instict but there was a huge news overload that came out of EVO, that was too good to pass up. Then again, EVO is like the E3 for fighters, so there's been a bunch of news that's been flooding out from Las Vegas. So today we're taking a look at all that and few other interesting bits that have come out within the last week or so.

Hey everyone. Today's going be another short one. Tomorrow is the big day, the start of EVO 2013 although its coming off a slightly depressing note. Capcom was hit off with some layoffs today including Christian Svensson, VP at Capcom USA (although Svensson left voluntarily). Svensson was a very vocal advocate for the fighting game community as well as many other franchises at Capcom. I wish him and everyone else who was affected and hope the can get back on their feet.

Hello, everyone! Before we jump into today's topic, I wanted to show off something that really cool that EVO started last year, the EVO Indie Showcase. The EVO Indie Showcase, incorporation with Capy Games' president Nathan Vella, showcases some of the newest and interesting rising talent in gaming. Surprisingly most of the games shown at the Showcase are not fighting game related. For example, Spy Party was shown last year and is returning to the showcase. This year features many returning games as well as some new and familiar faces like Towerfall.
