I almost finished Uncharted 2 yesterday. I got to Shangri la before I had to stop for the night. What a fantastic game but what a pain in the shooter. I think I've discovered what I love best about games. It's not the presentation and good story telling that the critics love, it's the gunplay controls.

Finished up the game yesterday after Mother's Day celebrations. It was one tough slog through some of the biggest firefights of the game. They really hold back the ammo. In the church area you're given a sniper rifle and just about enough ammo to take out the half dozen or so snipers that have laser guidance systems. You've got to do them first, and quickly too, or be overwelmed by the troops on the the floor. Later you're fighting both ground troops and cursed spaniards and laser snipers. What a pain, but I did it on Normal difficulty.

I finally broke down and got a turntable to play those old vinyl records and then I got a couple pieces of vinyl to play. I picked up a CD from the library and got the last game in my current gaming play list. That'll be it for games, except for must-have day-one stuff, until I finish my playlist. I was going to play some more Skyrim today, but I had a hankering for some Uncharted. I was going to play Uncharted 2, but I hadn't played the first one since I rented it around the time it came out; so, I started playing it figuring it would go pretty quickly. Surprise surprise. It took me all day to get to Chapter 17. It's a great game but not without some controller throwing. 

I played two games, both number five in their respective series today: GTA V and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Most of the day was GTA V, but I got in a few hours with Skyrim before the day ended. I didn't thnk I'd stop playing GTA V either, but the issue that's bothered me in other games in this series reared it's ugly head again and that's the shooting. 

This week I made a new games list I want to follow for a while. It includes a lot of stuff I've never played and a few I've already played. I own all of them except for two and they are Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. I got SMG1 on Friday for $20 at BestBuy. This and some other stuff are shown below.

I played Borderlands The Pre-Sequel again today with my Level 24 Baroness, doing side missions and avoiding the main story. It's so fun to just tool around and listen to the NPCs tell you their crazy stories while doing missions for them. I want to postpone the end as long as possible.

I played a lot of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel today. I continued with my Baroness character. I came across the same problem I had with my other characters. If you limit what equipment you choose to equip, you will end up being underpowered in the late parts of the game. 

It's another big dumb day picking up new media to consume. I also hit up the fast food chains: Wendy's for a chicken sandwich and McD's for a hot tea and Miis via Spot Pass. Soon I'll hit up a coffee shop and get my hour of reading done before work. Right now though, I'll share with you all my music and game finds in the wilds of suburbia. See picture below.

I picked up a few new things today. I got some music from the library for my 1970 Metal playlist and I bought some comic trades, both pictured below.
