I've had a similar problems with most of the Tales games I've played, especially getting those elemental attack changes in Abyss. There were many times I thought I timed my attack right, only noticing I wasn't quite in the correct position, just missing out on dealing some serious damage.
Ever since my favorite local place to buy games closed shop a few years ago Gamestop's pretty much the only game in town aside from a good Amazon deal now and again.

I don't think it's anything like that. I disconnected everything and tried it again, with the same results as before. From what I read looked over, it seems that something inside of the TV is messed up. And since it's an older model, the cost of repairing it is higher than it's worth.
When it comes to music, I have my 250GB iPod classic. It sure beats having to lug around a huge stack of CDs, that's for sure.
Curling looks like it would be pretty fun to try one of these days.
I get into that funk sometimes, especially when I don't have a new game to focus my attention on.
I used to be that same way when it came to not playing sequels to a game I haven't finished yet, until Metroid Prime came around. I couldn't beat the last boss even though I made attempt after attempt. Eventually I gave up and started Metroid Prime 2, with the added pang of guilt over not having even seen the ending to the first.
This game looks good, and you're right about that boss. Really wasn't expecting that.
I'm playing, but I'm not on your 3DS friend list. I've also picked up some pretty hairy monsters from scanning for people online. Well, it's the same monster really. Guess it's popular or something. My brother tried fighting it, all his physical attacks did was heal the thing.
I feel a little like that every time I wake up, but that's because my sleep schedule is seriously messed up.
Really want to try out Guacamelee and XCOM. Steam in general as well, but not having a credit card is a major roadblock.
That Dreamcast SNES emulator looks neat, wish I had a Dreamcast so I could try it out.
