Friday Favourites: Pac-Man Cereal

Posted on 03/15/2013 at 11:52 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I do remember the cereal. My mom said it was pure sugar and wouldn't buy it for me. So I missed out. Now the only wacky stuff they do like that is the singing Justin Bieber toothbrush!

Genghis Khan NES,the game that hooked me on KOEI

Hey Lee,I do play FPS type games a lot. But like you I'm not the greatest at them. Some better than others. I do okay in campaign, but online multiplayer is tough. Mainly because you find yourself up against 14 year old boys who are hopped up on Red Bull! And it's all they ever play. They have the reflexes of a cat that's been drinking espresso. So I have to play other games(easier ones!) to maintain my sanity. So is this game sorta like the board game Risk? Where you have to strategize and manage supplies. Guide your armies toward world domination? I saw a Metal Gear Solid version of Risk the other day at Barnes & Noble. I wonder if Gray Hair has it. Looked like a decent game.

American McGee Gauges Interest for "Alice 3"

Posted on 03/15/2013 at 04:32 PM | Filed Under News

My friend has been raving about how good Alice:The Madness Returns is. Sounds to me like a title I'd be into. Even saw some action figures from it the other day. Pretty cool ones. So McGee is giving up on consoles, huh? That's a shame. He may be right. Only time will tell. But I know I cannot wait for PS4 to arrive. Time is on my side now.

Anime Bravo Foxtrot: Why UN Squadron is Essential

I've seen this before. I should have grabbed when I had the chance. Just my speed. I like that sort of anime as well. Anything futuristic, tech oriented......is right up my alley.

GLaD 13: Sonic CD, Random Thoughts, Waxing Lyrical

Sorry for your loss. I've been there....know how hard it is. We've been through that process 5 times thru the years. It's really sad when a pet passes before their time. They deserve long and happy lives just like us. And it never gets any easier the more times you go through it either.

Silent Hill Downpour First Impressions

Posted on 03/15/2013 at 04:12 PM | Filed Under Blogs

I'm such a Silent Hill fan that I have both movies on Blu-Ray. And a framed picture of the bunnies with bloody faces that a friend sent me. It was a Christmas card! Recently picked up HD collection for PS3 and am very impressed by it. I think Silent Hill 2 is my favorite game of the series.

It's Thursday and Mothman's been shopping

You are one hell of a deal hunter! My hat is off to you...nice job. I only make lucky finds like those once in a blue moon around here. Mostly at garage sales. I almost bought Obscure for PS2 the other day. Looks like one with a good story and interesting characters. Those PSP games you found....Wow!

Parasite Eve

Maire Brennan[lead singer] of Clannad is Enya's sister. Did not realize that until I became a big fan of their music. I have most of Clannad's music in my iTunes library. Listened to some songs just an hour ago in fact. Glad I'm not alone in liking Enya.

That was an awful blunder on their part. Why mess with what works? The second one was really hard to beat. Gets insanely tough toward the end.

GLaD 14: YOTS: Twin Snakes + Psychedelic Thursday

Posted on 03/15/2013 at 02:53 PM | Filed Under Blogs

The Twin Snakes is one no one should miss out on. I found it for 10 bucks in a pawn shop a few months ago. In perfect condition! Been playing it steadily ever since. Holds up so well as one of the finest Gamecube games of all time. That's some great classic rock you put up. I liked Jefferson Airplane the best. Jimmy Page is legendary. Only seen him perform one time,in St. Louis. The Plant/Page tour they did in support of "Walking Into Clarksdale" which was amazing. They did about ten Led Zeppelin song that night.
