My Art Work pt 2: Illustrations

Ah, I have heard cirriculum vitae before, but didn't recognize the abbreviation, although now I'm suddenly certain I've seen that before, too; thank you for clarifying.

My First Ever Video

Your voice is ... quieter than I expected. I think the rants misled me on that. lol At least the swearing remained intact. Laughing

But seriously, you have a very natural voice, and I don't feel like stabbing my ears when I watch this, so you're on a great start compared to most Let's Plays already. Glad you got fraps to work for now, minus some slowdown.

Even if it was on purpose, I really didn't need it every time. That's the issue with parodying something by doing it yourself. I think there's a term for that. If not, there should be.

They already had fourth-wall breaking elements in the game at times, I would have been happy if they had maybe had Lakitu yell at Luigi, "just open it!" after a few times, and then just stopped doing it. Maybe they did, but when I played the game recently, I got past the first boss, and it still happened on every locked door; I know you can see those on the map, but sometimes I wasn't sure exactly where I was on the thing, or didn't feel like checking it. '

That's nitpicky for a launch game, and it was still a fun game, it just bothered me.

Red Dead Redemption a Rockstar Masterpiece

I am the Walrus, and I approve.

Really, I've never played it, but it actually does look more fun than the GTA games to me, even if it's mostly just a change of setting. THat's odd, cause I don't usually go for westerns, but I think they've grown on me, and good to know the voice acting sells it.

Was the 4.5/5 you gave this taking a cue from Snee's recent blog about perfect scores?

UPDATE: Phil Fish to finally patch Fez on XBLA

Yeah, I think Microsoft has had a very odd strategy lately of "how much can we get away with? We can change it later," only the fact people see that you're trying to see what you can get away with in the first place can be a bit of a turn-off.

Had they started this patch fee at something much lower, I wonder if there'd be as much outcry. Sometimes, I honestly think there might be, but asking for $10,000 just makes you look like a jackass.

Game DVR. Excited?

Posted on 07/05/2013 at 06:58 PM | Filed Under Blogs

The way our DVR works is you can record any program you want, and it will save to the DVR. How much space is left is told to you by what percentage of it is full. I imagine it will work similarly, but with all the other stuff in that box, you're right, I wonder how much memory will really be put aside for the DVR, and I imagine there will be restrictions on what you can do with the recorded footage, cause companies know people are somehow making a profit talking over their content, and probably aren't happy with that fact unless they're in a deal with those people, especially given how high production costs have become.

So you're right, it will probably be fairly limited. But I can dream.

Google's neverending quest for world domination continues...

Yeah, Ouya seemed like a weird sell to me, like it was basically an emulator box, and I wasn't really convinced otherwise, but I haven't seen much on it since IGN's unboxing.

I think Google would have more luck, but we'll see. They're brilliant, but that doesn't always mean everyone under a large company has the most brilliant ideas 100% of the time, though they're obviously very respected.

As for the fireworks dipshits, who goes after fire fighters in the middle of doing their jobs? Low.

I still have the first Luigi's Mansion, and honestly I think I'd like they made it more mission based. It did get a bit boring in parts for me; mostly it's the fault of the animation that pops up for every ... door ... you try.

But I do like it, and imagine I'd like the sequel, too.

Harmoknight is another I want, and I don't play JRPGs, but Ni No Kuni looks great.

Good blog!
