Why I still hate XBOX One! The 50 Shades of Grey edition!

Posted on 07/06/2013 at 08:32 PM | Filed Under Blogs

They have said the camera can be turned off, and beyond that you could unplug the system when you're done with games.  That article also mentions other things about privacy concerns, i.e. "you control how data is used," but I'm not sure how much I buy that when the camera is on or ... paused, whatever that means. The estimating calories burned thing would be useful for me, though.

If I owned one, I'd be shutting down and unplugging the system cause of that damn camera though, so I still don't want the camera on the thing, but maybe you can move the camera around/put tape over it, etc. I just don't want the hassle or feeling of the thing might be watching me. Granted, they could get much more useful info like your card info without the use of a camera or microphone.

Growing Away From Fighting Games

I've always had a love/hate relationship with fighters. Love when I play them and I'm doing well, hate when my ass gets kicked by a button masher, and in my opinion, unless we're talking tourney level, button mashing really does seem to work well in most fighters at the arcade.

I've seen little girls wail on self-described champions of Tekken, Soul Calibur, etc., and end their win-streak by mashing away at them.

They are fun in that immediate gratification way, though, so I still like them, and I'm excited for the new Guilty Gear. Hell, the only arcade game I played very long at Screwattack GAMING Convention was Street Fighter III, and that arcade was full.

Games: A Concept, What?!

FFXV will have online pass? That sucks. There's a lot of crap I might not look forward to in these new systems, but I'm trying to be somewhat optimistic; these online pass and DRM issues I keep hearing people have aren't helping my optimism, though. Still, I look forward to PS4 for now at least.

lol I guess so. Still waiting on buying one until after the holidays at least I think, but they made E3 a fun ride with that comeback.

Well, this is interetesting

Same here, but I am ever-curious about the benefits of PC gaming.

Screwing with Series

I haven't watched Anime Abandon in a while, but I should, Sage makes those pretty funny. I have listened to his new podcasts, though.

I never played an RE title, so don't know about that.

I love the old guy throwing hadokens in the last scene below the spaceship. I'd love to play this.

New IPs I am Excited About (what about you?)

Posted on 07/06/2013 at 07:43 PM | Filed Under Blogs

Ah, didn't really read the title, sorta just clicked here from messages and then kinda followed the bolded games when I read, so I didn't realize they were all meant to be new IPs only, just thought they were new games you were excited for in general. That's what happens when I read something at 3AM. lol

So yeah, I know what new IPs/intellectual properties are, just didn't catch that. I forget what its name is, but that one where the trailer is a kid running and grinding on rails down a sunny urban street for Xbox One looks good.
