I'm worried about Silent Hills.  Who will step up to to try to realize all the potential that the P.T. demo showed, or will Konami just kill the project now that Kojima is gone?

As for Metal Gear, Kojima seems to have wrapped up the narrative to his own satisfaction, so that's a plus.  Maybe a new direction will be beneficial to the IP, but Konami doesn't exactly have the most stellar track record in finding replacements for their departed talent and keeping their series relevant, but who knows?  Maybe Sony will let them borrow Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley (of Last of Us and Uncharted fame) in exchange for a ps4 exclusive Metal Gear.

Kojima has pretty much been the face of that company for me ever since they stopped putting out Castlevanias.  Now that he's gone (or will be soon), I think my interest will turn to wherever he winds up.  Shame, because I really like their IPs.

My wife is fascinated by the tiny house show, but it's not for me.  I'm all for being environmentally friendly, and yes, we as a society have become too materialistic and wasteful, but those houses are so cramped.  I live in a small house as it is, and I hate having to maneuver around furniture, piles of laundry, my kid's toys, etc.  I don't need a big house but I hate not having personal space.  And no, living in a small house doesn't make you a better person.  A smug SOB in a tiny house is still a smug SOB lol.  

For anime, I'd also recommend any work by Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress, Tokyo Godfathers, Paprika, and the series Paranoia Agent).  

Nice list.  I have a lot of those on DVD.  My personal list would include many of those, but I'd throw in Evangelion, FLCL, Last Exile, and pretty much everything Satoshi Kon ever directed.

I love retro games because of the 2D artwork, but they can be extremely frustrating to actually play.  As a kid with no money, I only got a few games a year, so I had to play the same ones repeatedly until I got good at them.  That shit doesn't fly these days.  Most people's attention spans are too short and they need instant gratification.

I think achievements and trophies are a good thing, at least for me.  They give me goals to try to reach to get the most out of the games I'm playing.  Of course, many of them are stupid hard and I end up spending way too long on one game (currently Diablo) while neglecting five others.

It was $20 a couple of weeks ago.  Maybe it'll go on sale again.  I just got my wizard to level 70 with 75 paragon levels to go with my level 70 demon hunter.  I'm going to try either the monk or crusader next, though I should probably play something else (I've gotten Transistor, Dying Light, Shadow of Mordor, Alien Isolation, Guilty Gear Xrd, GTA V, & Little Big Planet 3 since I started Diablo) or start drawing again.  I really want that platinum trophy but it'll probably take at least another month at this rate.

Probably shouldn't have read that.  Well, the internet let him have it afterwards, but people like that are so full of themselves that they can't be reasoned with.  Really, he would have quit his (likely unpaid) "job" as an anonymous judge of an awards show after only one year if Bayonetta would have won game of the year?  Might as well tell Geoff Keighley to cancel next year's show cause he's down a douchebag who is stupid enough to tweet remarks that both alienate potential viewers and undermine the award itself.  I've always taken the VGAs and now The Game Awards winners with a grain of salt ever since a WWE game won best fighting game (What's that?  WWE airs on the same network as the VGAs?  Okay that seems legit).

So one time I was playing Ultimate Evil and I killed a treasure goblin and it opened a portal to a level filled with treasure chests.  Apparently this randomly happens in this version of the game.  Later, I got a special gem in a greater rift that gives me a 25% chance of enemies exploding into gold upon death.  Needless to say I have quite a bit of money right now.
