I Normally Wouldn't Ask But...

Very cool, enjoyable read. Would have preferred on one or two pages, but that's the website's fault, not yours.

Resource Management stood out to me, as the way I come to it in games mirrors how I do it in life: hoard all the money and items until absolutely needed.

The fact you got published is great in and of itself. Congrats!

I think all things considered, he died doing what he loved, regardless of two day leave of presence. Have to say his wife Chaz also sounds like a classy woman for sticking through all of it with him.

Gaming On A [really!]Big Screen.

I have yet to see a Hollywood-type movie on those real dome IMAX screens they used for The Science Place when we were kids. No matter how many times I leaned back and watched the sped up helicopter shots of Dallas on that thing, I thought it was so cool.

Unfortunately, when I went to The Dark Knight, I was expecting that, but what I got was a crappy vertical IMAX that I later learned wasn't even as big as non-dome IMAX screens were supposed to be. I was really disappointed. Later, I'd see Tron: Legacy in IMAX 3D at The Parks Mall in Arlington. Now that was impressive, though still not the dome shape I really want to see a movie in at some point.

Of course, gaming on those things would be one hell of a trip! I think my older brother has said some staffers actually have gamed on the giant screen, but definitely don't quote me on that, he might have simply been saying how cool it would be. Oh, but one more thing about these screens, one of the items that didn't upload properly for me to past in my blog that got deleted:

I got to watch Avatar on that big screen of Jerry Jones'. Cool

I dug the ambient relaxation of the first song, then BAM! Hilariously abrupt transition to what looks like Austin Powers' acid trip; with a pretty damn catchy song to boot.

Earthbound - ... the Sum of its Parts

Great blog for a game I LOATHED when I rented as a kid. But I have always wished I were or became more into JRPGs, so I could appreciate what seems like a funny and charming story by all accounts.

I like that you tied it into Super Mario RPG, which I mostly watched a friend play in middle school, but got a kick out of when I actually played it a couple times.I must admit, I was a graphics whore as well at the time, still do like having the most updated looks when possible, and so while I didn't really notice that Earthbound had simple graphics (not why I disliked it, it was because I didn't like the gameplay and couldn't figure out where to go or what was happening), I did notice how gorgeous Super Mario RPG was.

Still, I'd like to at least see the story of Ness and his friends play out. Excellent stand-in for your Final Fantasy Quest series.

That is one evenly sliced pie at the moment. I'm assuming I was the fourth vote. lol

At one point, I thought Roger Ebert was trying to surf. Maybe the Ninja Turtles got to him. Laughing
