Well these are hard back collections they have at the public liabrary so they may be a few years old. But they were new to me and they have the whole collection,I think 10+volumes, so I have been on binge.lol The ones written by Joss Wheadon are particularly good.

I was just talking to some friends about this kind of thing just the other day. You really have to seperate the artist from their work. It can go both ways. For example I love Miles Davis music, but as a person he was a total dick. That does not mean I have to stop listening to his music. On that same note, like you said G.R.R. Martin tells some mighty gruesome stories, that does not mean he personaly likes to get midievil on some body. Sadly there are a lot of salty people out there that have nothing better to do than piss in someone elses cereal, and most of these puds don't have a creative bone in their body. All they can do is try and tear down what other build because they can't build anything themselves.

I dodged the Saints games for the same reason, not a big GTA fan anyway. But I picked up Sainst Row the Third a few months back, not at all what I was expecting. Its a lot of fun, only about half way through it though. I had no idea there was a new Elevator Action game, I will have to check that out. Jupiter's Legacy sound like my kind of book. I have heard as far as movies go the Turtle flick is good. As for being a good TMNT movie, not so much. Guardians was awesome.

As for me playing Skyrim and loving it. Still reading Runaways who have become my new favorite Marvel super team. Hope they eventually get a movie.

The villian in Blue Sub 6 was an enviromentalist extremeist also. He was a famed geneticist who loses his faith in mankind after the polar caps melt and vastly shrink the land masses. With the world mostly ocean all things aquatic become important. The geneticist sets up a secret lab in the south pole and start building an army of genetically modified sea life, as they would be the future of the worlds next great evolution. Blusub is really good, should you stumble upon it.

Although I don't think they technicaly fit the definition of anti hero I would have to say Danny Glover and Mel Gibson's charaters in Lethal Weapon, they are like the dirtiest cops ever. If you ignore the whole family man (glover) and the lovelable rogue (gibson) personalities and focus on the things they actually do they are total scumbags. I loved these movies as a kid but after I grew up and learned about police corruption, brutality and abuse of power, I found these chaacters to be repulsive. Yet at the same time I can totally relate to a villain like Poison Ivy or the antagonist in "Blue Submerine 6", well sort of. lol.

Selective Memory

It is funny that you mentioned this because my friend and I were talking about this very thing yesterday. We noticed how those past decades all had some defining music genre, cultural movement, fashion, or all of the above. Yet we could not really think of any defining qualities for the last decade & a half. Maybe were just old and jaded. lol But in all fainess there has been plenty of good music, movies and such, it just seems like you have to look a little harder to find them though. Nostalgia can also cloud our memories too. Learned that lesson when I tried to watch the Garbage Pale Kids movie after I grew up, I must have been VERY easily amused when I was 8.lol

That corn looks good. I used to cook it on the grill with butter and Tony Chachere's cajun seasoning. I miss having a grill. Still muckin about in the wilds of Skyrim, I think I'm going to get back into the main story again before I competely forget what is going on. Watching Ultimate Spiderman animated series. I 'm really impressed with it, lot of well known Marvel writers pening the episodes. I need to go back and finish Persona 4. I have not played in so long I may have to start over.
