Sorry your summer was stressful. I've been playing Spider-Man and SNES Mini after finishing the most recent Yakuza. Looking forward to playing Tomb Raider and Life is Strange when my wants budget comes back from behind.

I've never bought games without a console before. Nothing really to say about it, just wondering how many people do this. I guess it happened with a lot of people who bought BotW before getting a Switch. I remember there being more of that Zelda sold than Switch consoles.
I played a bit of Yoshi's Island on SNES Mini last week and I do love the arts styles of Yoshi games in general. I always liked the pop-up book aesthetic in Yoshi's Story.
Spidey is ok/solid for me so far, about on par with other Spidey games but with better presentation.
I still remember seeing a student outside the student center of the college I went to flipping off a poster for Godzilla (2014) and thinking, "These Nostalgia Critic types on YouTube are making certain people do some pretty weird shit," cause it looked like something one of those characters might do. I mean, I thought the movie was a bit of a slog, except the very beginning and very end, but no one was even around him while he was doing this and he even went back to the sign and did the same thing again. Nothing nefarious about it, just ... odd.
There's Gran Turismo Sport and Driveclub as far as exclusives, but Need for Speed (2015) is definitely more my speed (and available on the system; bought it on PS+).
The Gameranx guys were asking the same "but how?!" questions. Are there really so many things you'd need immediate access to that a controller would not suffice? But I do expect a reduction in either graphics or frame rate.
Well, if you're curious what it plays like, there's a whole episode of Nerds Without Pants dedicated to similar games. *coughs again*
Man, I wish those Forza games were on PS4. So gorgeous.
Well now I'm just mad you're burying that NWP Yakuza special I was on. lol
Looking forward to the review. As much gaming as I've been doing lately, I feel like I could just start writing and have a book of reviews by the end. I might just start.
I really want to keep Casey's thing going, but I'm not sure if it's "anyway the wind blows doesn't really matter to me" or something else that comes next. I feel like there's one line before that one, and Googling would make this inauthentic.
Anyway, DAMN NICK. How many games did you play for review the last time you sat down to take a crap? Sixteen? That Switch portability sure seems to come in handy!
I don;t know if it's on XBO or just PS4, but it plays like Yakuza yet has the trappings of an anime called Fist of the North Star.
You can hear Julian and I's thoughts on the concept in the most recent Nerds Without Pants podcast ... ahem.
