Gamers With Suits: An introduction & industry overview

My fiancee is a CMA, which I think with all the amalgamation going on makes her a CGA now or something? I actually work for in finance for the big telecom in our province. I don't work the numbers though, I'm a programmer, lol.

I'll be cool to see your analysis on the gaming industry!

I love my PSP. I got the 3000 model as a birthday gift right around when the Vita was announced. I call it my Wayback Machine, because every game I get for it is either a classic or a remake, and I love it for that.

I actually just received cables to hook it up to my TV last night! I was playing some Castlevania for about a half hour or so. They work great!

Traffic Jam on the eShop tonight?

I have all three of these demos and I've yet to play the Monster Hunter or Etrian ones yet. I just finished the Castlevania demo and I'm going to post a blog about it, haha.

I set it up to download and walked away from it last night, and it seemed to work fine, but I dunno how long it took.

I was a massive fan of the FFs on the SNES, but I actually didn't get my PSX for FF7. I got it for Metal Gear Solid, which I'd read some articles on and was obsessed with. I, of course, played and loved all the FFs after that, especially FF Tactics!

When the Dreamcast came out I still had the N64 and the PSX so I remember thinking there was no way I could possiby get another console, and I'd never owned a Sega machine ever, but I used to rent it. I'd rent Power Stone, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, RE Code Veronica over and over, haha. I loved those games. I ended up getting a Dreamcast in 2011 through a rather funny if embarrassing story, but I love it. I have RE CV for it and it's been a blast playing it. I think I'll get the DC version of Soul Reaver for it next.

I also enjoy the CHC stuff  I'm definitely looking forward to the newly revamped show.

Have you been to Hal-Con? I went last year for a day and I really enjoyed it, but there wasn't a lot of video gaming going on. Lots of table-top, though. I was mostly there for fantasy authors and some comic stuff.

Howdy!

I used to be big fan of EGM back in the day. I ended up getting into Nintendo Power back in the N64 days though, and that kind of became my magazine of choice. Now that that's gone, I'm looking at the new EGM. I picked up a few issues of it last year and I enjoyed it, especially since they brought Sushi-X back!

BaD Review: A Clip Show

My better half is totally addicted to The Simpsons Tapped Out. I have too many games to get that addicted to a game right now, but she really likes it. I've definitely been tempted.

Cool idea with the clip show!

I didn't realize most of the staff was from 1-up, as well! Now I'm definitely feeling like a newbie, haha.

Yeah, I've been trying to blog on Tumblr for a few months and I wasn't getting any readers. It's nice to have a place with a community that's active. It makes it more exciting to put forth the effort.
