Long distance relationships suck. My wife and I did long distance back when we were dating and then engaged. It's terrible, though thank God for skype. But if the relationship survives the distance, then you really have something special. Best of luck, Julian!

Sherlock Hound! We had a VHS with a couple episodes when I was a kid. Loved that show. There still isn't a good way to buy the series in the US 

When I first saw the tagline, "Who watches the watch dogs?," I wondered if the episode would be about the ESRB and similar organizations, though maybe you've already talked about that. Can't remember. Anyway, good show!

The library seems like the way to go to me. I doubt I'll want to reread many of these, at least not any time soon. This way I can freely true anything that catches my fancy.

I didn't realize there was a Halo graphic novel but I suppose that isn't surprising. Maybe the library has it...?

That game is fantastic, especially with four people on one team. It's basically the only way to beat the computer on the higher difficulties. Body checking other players into the electric fence never gets old.

Ooh! I have read Scott Pilgrim already and it's fantastic! I noticed both Fables and The Walking Dead at the library, actually, but I'm hesitant to start a long-running series right now. On that front I'd rather read Neil Gaiman's Sandman series first. But anything is a possibility!

I have my eye on a couple of Spider-Man stories. I'm sure I'll get to them eventually. If you want to try Batman, I would suggest going to the library!  Year One by Frank Miller is probably a good place to start, though I could give you some more recommendations (with more recognizable villains) if you want.

I think I like Batman because he's not super (no "powers") but he's not mundane. Other than Batman, though, I don't think the DC catalogue is interesting at all (I'm sure there are some exeptions). If I do branch out much, I'm sure it will be into Marvel territory. If you could recommend just two trade paperbacks, what would they be?

Yes, Matt, you are the only one. I bet Miller doesn't even like it  I thought the whole thing was a hot mess. (Well, the bit about the Flash being stuck in a giant hamster wheel to provide power to the whole country was a cool idea.)

I saw Spider-Man Blue there! But...I didn't get it because I already a bunch of stuff. I'll look again next.

I'm definitely going to read Sandman because I love Neil Gaiman's work, and they do have it at the library. They just never have the first volume there. If it's not available next time I go, I'll put a hold on it.
