I've definitely heard people hate on both your loved games; I'd say Sunshine is my favorite 3D Mario. Never played Skyward Sword, but if the critique of it was "it was too linear," that bothers me not one bit. 

I don't hate The Last of Us, but I thought a large chunk of it was pretty dull. I just don't care that much for zombie apocalypse stories. Honesly, I thought the super-violent trailer for TLoU2 was great because it featured only humans and I find that element way more interesting. 

Wish I could play it, but it actually looks like it won't sell me on a Switch. I still want an SNES Classic more. 

Honestly, I think the brown look would turn me off so much I wouldn't be able to enjoy the sound design.

I haven't had a vivid dream in ages, but when I do it's about mundane life events and sometimes I get future predictions that come true. 

So, hopefully that's not the case for you. 

Sure wish Life is STrange: Before the Storm would let me play through episode 2 on my other save files ...

I'd probably only play the weird ones, what with the beer and robot cocks. Shmups are fun and Solar Striker was one of my favorite games back in the day, but eventually it's gonna get to that point where it's so hard to win I stop caring. Maybe even in the easiest shmups you listed. 

Still, I'd play 3 or 5 levels of cocks attacking beer bottles while a giant waifu makes gorilla noises in the background. 

I've had thinks like that happen to me in Ocarina of Time and the original Pokemon as a kid, but it could be I was a kid and just couldn't think of how to get out of certain situations. 

Currently, I can't replay through Life is Strange: Before the Storm on my other save files because of a glitch where a puzzle is already solved from my previous save, but the game is asking me to solve the puzzle. Well, it's not really a puzzle so much as finding shit in a junkyard, but that's not the point. I really want to see what bad Chloe would do, too ...

Honestly, I almost never feel the need to 100% games just to say I did. If it's really fun and I like the reward, I'll do it, but I get bored out of my mind exploring a virtual world with no story after a while. 

Yeah, I didn't get to enjoy PS3/360/Wii at all in college, because my job took care of housing and food but didn't actually pay me anything. 

Sucks while it lasts.
