Well I'll be darned
I have Catan! Used to play with some friends from high school/college but I haven't touched it in several years. I like it but games tend to go pretty long, especially with 4-6 people. I guess a 2 player game would go a lot quicker. I've heard really good things about Carcassonne.
Well it's the Backloggers Anonymous game right now and I actually have it, but they're starting to talk about it and I haven't touched it yet
I have no experience with any of these games but hey, I like Kickass. Haven't heard anything about the second one but I'll wait and make up my mind for myself.
Like several of the chaps on here, I am very late to the party and haven't played any of them. I have the first one and the free copy of the second (woot woot!), so I don't have an excuse lol. But first I need to play Mirror's Edge!
Board games are great but I suffer from a similar problem of lacking people to play them with. Still, I've enjoyed some good ones, like Pandemic and Forbidden Island (those are both cooperative games, which is pretty cool). But my favorite is Dominion, a deck-building game. I could play that all the time and though it's best with four people, my wife and I have played it plenty by ourselves.
Well gee, that's today
Yeah, I think those DOA beach games are meant to be...ahem...jerky...
We had a smattering of all sorts of toys when I was a kid. We even saved things like milk bottle caps and yogurt cups and used them for all sorts of games. And we always pitted the Batmen action figures against everyone else, those evil Power Rangers and Spider-Men and whoever else happened to be at hand. Good times
I got this in one of the Humble Bundles. Haven't played it yet, of course lol. Sure looks cool though.
