Starfox Zero Delayed till 2016

Yeah, the series got me to buy an N64, but it's been Sonic'd a few too many times to have the appeal it once did. I agree it could benefit from some polish.

Where are the Metal Gear Blogs...?

Yeah, I played 1 and 2, so I know how story-focused it usually is.

And yeah, I had a ton of crap happen to me, including a busted laptop charger, Soundcloud deleting my file, and the other guys say they can barely hear me in the recordings they got. Basically, Blake has played them all I think, James hadn't played one until now, and the main points I remember are "flaming whale" and Afghanistan.

I love the tension in games like that, honestly.

On the podcast I tried to record with Blake and his friend, there was mention of batshit story for the first few hours and then quite many more hours of just gameplay. I've been told I don't need to play 3 and 4 before this one, but I still kinda want to.

I saw that Game Grumps posted a Let's Play of Mario Maker. Gonna watch that soon.

2001, A Blog Odyssey

My older brother was in high school in the 90s so I was well aware of Tool. I don't think I liked them at the time, but I grew into them. As for Tenacious D, I found out about them from "You Don't Always Have To F* Her Hard" on the radio and thought it was hilarious. I like self-deprecating humor as well. Makes me feel better about myself.

Ah man, 2001 was all about gaming for me as well. That's when my Nintendo fanboyism hit critical mass. I didn't entirely sit out the GTA III craze, I just wasn't technically allowed to play it on my older brother's PS2. But the next door neighbors had it anyway. Still, I usually just watched them play those games which was quite boring. Star Wars Rogue Squadron was gorgeous as georgosity itself at the time. Us Gamecube fanboys argued that Halo was the ONLY thing on Xbox worth playing and loved Super Smash Bros. Melee. Later on, I'd lament the lack of diversity offered in the Gamecube's library compared to PS2 and get annoyed when kid-friendly fare came to Xbox and PS2 but not Gamecube. My decision to buy a PS4 was influenced by that time period in gaming, because I discovered things like Sly Cooper and Guilty Gear X2 on PS2. But now I want an Xbox One for some of its exclusives like Sunset Overdrive and Cuphead, those comfy Xbox controllers and the $350 price tag plus free Madden. I'd also love to play the Nintendo standards on Wii U. The main reason I was such a Gamecube fanboy was due to family money trouble and if I was gonna pay for it myself I wanted the cheapest system which happened to be a Nintendo, the company I grew up with via my older brother's NES, SNES, and my N64. If only I had more money now.

I need a camera. Never was too interested in astronomy, but I loved to think about what it would be like living on different planets and such in the future.

I really liked the first Harry Potter movie, but the first Lord of the Rings was a bit too long for my 11-year old brain. I would much prefer the action-packed sequels. I still need to watch The Royal Tennenbaums, but I had no interest in Wet Hot American Summer the movie or the Netflix series. Since you love it so much, now I'm curious.

Oh I mean at least 5 years from now, and maybe not as involved, but I could see it happening.

Rocksmith & Shantae

I am too, but I decided against it because of what Cary said about it teaching you the game instead, the fact I already know how to play guitar and could just try matching to a metronome or a recording instead of buying the game, the extra cost of DLC songs and the Rocksmith cable, and the fact I could use some of that $30 towards a new amplifier.

I've never loved level creators, but I want to play this more and more.

I wonder if they'll do a 3D level editor next.

I bought the director's cut of Risky's Revenge for $3 in the PS 20th anniversary sale. Great game, beat it in about 7 or so hours.

I also haven't seen the alien movies fully, but I understood the video was a reference.
