Thanks for the tip man. I think i'd rather play this on the pc so I added it to my Steam wishlist and will wait on a hopeful sale. I really like the character of Sherlock Holmes and would no doubt enjoy this
Yeah I have it on the MGS Collection and started it directly after MGS3 so maybe my lack of a break from MGS is the reason i'm in the same boat as you. I'll try go back to it once I get through MGS2 at some stage. It seems like a nice change of pace with the mission breakup.
My friends and I played Halo split screen for a year straight. I think we found every possible nook and cranny in that game, amazing. Funnily enough, I think this much play time is the reason I never really stuck with the rest of the series. I thought Halo 2 was kinda meh and Halo 3 was an improvement but nothing drastic. I think its the SP story of the first Halo that does it for me. The world they created was so vivid and the backstory to the game was great. I built it up so much in my mind that nothing was ever going to live up to my expectations.
Also, Burnout Takedown was and is AMAZING!! I'm not sure I ever played it sober (being in college & living with friends at time of release) but I had many a late night playing that game.
I'm replaying MGS2 at the moment and might follow with replaying MGS4. Really a great series. I haven't put much time into the original MG games but they sound like they're worth a go
I agree that the price point of the PS3 at release (along with being a year later) was it's major downfall; it's been playing catchup ever since really. Sony was too cocky for it's own good much like Microsoft were at the initial Xbox One announcement IMO. I think Sony have learned from this but it took them far too long this past generation.

For the original XBOX, while I did get around to buying the smaller controller, I genuinely preferred the fat one. It just fit. It's not my favourite controller of all time or anything but I certainly didn't think it was bad.
I'm ok with the idea of DLC as long as the initial game is "complete". Add-ons to extend the experience can be great and theres no harm in offering extra costumes and whatnot for most games
The Joker in the Arkham games. The voice acting my Mark Hamill was amazing and the script was very well done. I genuinely looked forward to the cutscenes.
